The show kicks off with the sound of shattering glass as WWE Hall of Famer and six-time WWE Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin opens the show as “The Texas Rattlesnake” kicks off his night as the Guest Host of RAW! Stone Cold proclaims that being back in a WWE ring makes him want to “open up a can of whoop-ass” and, after getting a couple of beers, Austin states that, when WrestleMania rolls around, the Superstars put “everything on the line” and that he knows all about WrestleMania as he had his career-defining match at WrestleMania 13 against Bret Hart! Stone Cold continues by saying that Bret Hart is “one of the best” that he has faced in his career. Austin then turns his attention to WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon and says, while he has never seen “eye-to-eye” with McMahon, but he “enjoyed” what the Chairman brought to the ring and stated that Vince always brought his “A-Game” to the ring! “The Texas Rattlesnake” then states that he is there to oversee the contract signing for the WrestleMania match between Hart & McMahon and that no one will be doing anything devious with him in charge before proclaiming that they are going to “take care of business” on RAW! As the Guest Host prepares to leave the ring, he is greeted by the arrival of John Cena! Cena enters the ring and the gracious Hall of Famer leaves the ring to let Cena prepare for his match, but Austin briefly stops to have a face-off with Big Show, who makes his way to the ring for his match with Cena!

The opening match of the night was the first of three WrestleMania Rewind matches as John Cena would relive his first WrestleMania as Cena would go one-on-one with one-half of the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions, Big Show, in a rematch from WrestleMania XX. Cena looked to be putting the finishing touches on the match, but WWE Champion Batista comes out! Despite the distraction by Batista, Cena was able to survive the chokeslam of Big Show, but one more distraction by the WWE Champion, this time distracting the referee, allowed Big Show to rake the eyes of Cena and follow it up with the vicious Knockout Punch en route to defeating John Cena! How will Cena respond to Batista costing him his match?

Thirteen nights before he goes one-on-one with Triple H at WrestleMania, “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus was set to face off with Evan Bourne, but before the match could begin, “The Celtic Warrior” popped Bourne in the head with a microphone, hit him with his patented and vicious pump kick, and delivering the Celtic Crucifix Powerbomb! After this vicious attack, Sheamus stated that he was always “fascinated” by the WWE, but, when he was young, there was one man who was “so selfish, so aggressive, so vicious” and would even use a sledgehammer to get to the top and that man was Triple H! Sheamus continued that this attitude by Triple H has brought “The Game” a storied career. “The Celtic Warrior” explained that he was “supposed” to defend his WWE Title at WrestleMania, but Triple H cost him the championship and proclaims that their match at WrestleMania will be a “turning point” in the career of Triple H before vowing to beat Triple H “so decisively” that Triple H will “never be the same again”! Sheamus then boldly proclaims that he will take the “throne” of “The King of Kings” at WrestleMania! Can Sheamus make history by defeating the legendary Triple H at WrestleMania or will Triple H add Sheamus to the list of WrestleMania victims?

The Divas were in action on RAW as Divas Champion Maryse would go one-on-one with Kelly Kelly in a non-title bout. In the end, it was Maryse picking up the win after hitting the French Kiss DDT! After the match, the Divas Champion viciously attacks Kelly Kelly, but Gail Kim & Eve Torres rush to the aid of Kelly Kelly as the Divas leave Maryse laid out! While Eve & Gail thought they saved Kelly Kelly from a vicious beat down, Eve & Gail found themselves getting beat down themselves by none other than Women’s Champion Michelle McCool & Layla from SmackDown! After Team Lay-Cool leaves Eve & Gail laid out, the devious duo exit the ring as SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero appears and applauds their actions! As if the surprise appearance by McCool & Layla was not enough, Divas Champion Maryse leaves with Vickie, McCool, & Layla! What is the reason for this SmackDown invasion? Has Divas Champion Maryse aligned herself with the SmackDown Divas?

Then it was time for the second of three WrestleMania Rewind matches as, thirteen nights before he puts his career on the line against the undefeated streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania, “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels would go one-on-one with World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho in a rematch from their bout at WrestleMania XIX! After narrowly dodging Sweet Chin Music, Chris Jericho opts to take a count-out loss to Shawn Michaels! While Jericho dodged an attack by Shawn Michaels, Jericho found himself on the wrong end of an attack by his WrestleMania challenger, Edge! The #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title in thirteen nights at WrestleMania pummels the World Heavyweight Champion through the crowd and back into the ring where “The Rated-R Superstar” laid Jericho out with the Spear! Can Edge spear his way to the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania or will Chris Jericho retain the gold against the determined #1 Contender?

It was announced on RAW that, at WrestleMania, there will be a Triple Threat Match as Randy Orton will face Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase! Following this announcement, Orton stated that Rhodes & DiBiase have “never had to exist” without him and, on their own, Rhodes & DiBiase are “nothing”! The once unstoppable trio of Randy Orton & Legacy will now compete in an every-man-for-himself Triple Threat Match in thirteen nights at WrestleMania, but will Legacy work as a team in a match where there can only be one winner? Will Randy Orton defeat his former protégés in a realm that “The Viper” has the edge in experience in at WrestleMania?

As he prepares for his Triple Threat Match against Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase in thirteen nights at WrestleMania, Randy Orton was in action on RAW as “The Viper” would go one-on-one with the man who will face “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus at WrestleMania, “The Game” Triple H as the two former World Champions would re-ignite their intense and personal rivalry surrounding last year’s WrestleMania in a WrestleMania Rewind match! After Triple H hits the Pedigree on Randy Orton, the match comes to a halt as Legacy hits the ring and attacks Triple H! After taking out Triple H, Legacy turns their attention to their WrestleMania opponent, Randy Orton, as Rhodes & DiBiase assault their former mentor! Triple H recovers and retaliates against Legacy, but, out of nowhere, Sheamus hits the pump kick on “The Game”! As Sheamus stands over Triple H, Rhodes & DiBiase pull Randy Orton to the outside of the ring where Rhodes delivers Cross Rhodes to Orton on the arena floor! Inside and outside of the ring, the young competitors stand tall over the established Superstars, but will this be the case come WrestleMania?

After costing his WrestleMania opponent, John Cena, his match against Big Show earlier in the night, WWE Champion Batista was in action on RAW as “The Animal” would face Kofi Kingston in a non-title bout! After getting busted open by Kofi Kingston, Batista made Kofi pay by flattening Kingston with the Batista Bomb en route to picking up the win! Can Batista put John Cena down with the Batista Bomb in just thirteen nights at WrestleMania or will John Cena get his ultimate revenge by taking the WWE Title from Batista?

Six nights before they face off in their respective WrestleMania matches, WrestleMania opponents will face off next week as Triple H & Randy Orton will actually team together to face Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, & Ted DiBiase in a 3-on-2 Handicap Match! Who will gain momentum for their WrestleMania match on the final RAW before WrestleMania next week?

Then it was time for the official contract signing for Bret Hart Vs. Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania as Guest Host Stone Cold Steve Austin would oversee the official inking for the WrestleMania match between two of the biggest rivals in his storied career! After Bret Hart, Mr. McMahon, & Guest Host Stone Cold Steve Austin make their way to the ring, Austin orders McMahon to sit down before officially announcing that Bret’s father, Stu Hart, will be inducted into the 2010 WWE Hall of Fame! McMahon responds to the announcement by calling all of the members of the Hart family “dysfunctional derelicts” and calling Bret himself a “dysfunctional handicapped derelict”! The Chairman then tells Bret that, if Bret signs the contract, their match will be “iron clad” and, if Bret backs out, he will sue Bret! Bret responds by issuing the challenge that they make the match a No Holds Barred affair, which McMahon agrees to before stating that, with the stipulation, “Bret screwed Bret” once again! Bret is the first of the two to sign and, following some hesitation, Mr. McMahon signs the contract to make the match official! After the match was made official, Stone Cold tells the Chairman that he looks forward to seeing McMahon getting beat at WrestleMania! Before exiting, Austin tells McMahon that he “forgot” something before saying that he will let Bret tell him! The Chairman then turns around to see that “The Hitman” had placed the cast for his broken leg on the table! Bret then throws his crutch to the side and reveals that he does not “need” it or the cast! Bret continues that he “needed” McMahon to think that he was hurt and reveals that the car accident several weeks ago was a “stunt” and praises John Cena for knowing someone in the movie business to help him with it and also reveals that he “one hundred percent”! Bret then states that, for thirteen years, he has heard “Bret screwed Bret” from McMahon before proclaiming that “Vince screwed Vince” before way-laying the Chairman not once, but twice, with his cast! How will McMahon respond to this surprise by Bret? What else will happen between Hart & McMahon as their No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania draws closer?
