The 885th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you, live, from the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. On the WWE’s final night in the Mellon Arena, rapper, reality star, and television personality Flavor Flav would take the helms of RAW as the Guest Host. After Sheamus cut his announcement short last week, WWE Champion John Cena would make an appearance on RAW to reveal the stipulation for his title defense against “The Animal” Batista at WWE Over The Limit!

Monday Night RAW (May 10, 2010)
Good Week For: Randy Orton (forced Vickie Guerrero to resign as RAW GM and laid Edge out with the RKO on the arena floor)
Bad Week For: Mark Henry (was assaulted with a steel chair and forced into submission by Batista)

Detailed Results Follow…

One week after laying out Edge, as well as Guest Host Wayne Brady, with the RKO and thirteen days before he faces Edge at WWE Over The Limit, RAW kicks off with “The Viper” Randy Orton, who says that he did not accept Edge’s offer to reunite last week because Edge viewed him as a “threat” and that Edge wanted to keep him “under control”! However, Orton is interrupted by a surprise guest as Grammy award singer Meatloaf comes out to pitch a new theme song for Randy Orton! After allowing the legendary singer to freestyle a few of his new songs, Orton got fed up with Meatloaf’s promotion of his new album and laid Meatloaf out with the RKO! This brings out Orton’s Over The Limit opponent as “The Rated-R Superstar” Edge comes out! Edge reveals that he is not a fan of the Guest Host idea and said that he complained to WWE Headquarters and they informed him that, from here on out, the celebrity Guest Hosts of RAW will have “no authority” on RAW! Edge then makes the blockbuster announcement that RAW will go back to having a “permanent” General Manager before introducing the new RAW GM, who will be none other than Edge’s ex-wife, Vickie Guerrero! The new GM comes out and stands side-by-side with her ex-husband and vows that Orton will be “reprimanded” before announcing that Randy Orton will compete against Edge and a partner of his choosing in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match on RAW! Who will Edge select as his partner? Now that RAW has a permanent General Manager in Vickie Guerrero and the Guest Hosts have no authority, how will the landscape of RAW be changed?

After joining up with United States Champion The Miz last week to assault Unified WWE Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty, Chris Jericho was in action on RAW as he would go one-on-one with one-half of the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions, David Hart Smith with the stipulation that, if Jericho wins, then Jeri-Miz would challenge The Hart Dynasty for the Unified WWE Tag Team Titles at WWE Over The Limit! After delivering a thumb to the eyed of David Hart Smith, Jericho was able to hit the Codebreaker en route to defeating David Hart Smith and earning a Unified WWE Tag Team Title opportunity for himself and The Miz at WWE Over The Limit! Can The Miz & Chris Jericho take one step further in their quest for revenge on Big Show by winning the Unified WWE Tag Team Titles in thirteen days at WWE Over The Limit?

With the WWE’s resident rapper, R-Truth, escorting him to the ring, the Guest Host of RAW makes an appearance as rapper, reality star, television personality, and host of the series, “Nite Tales: The Series”, Flavor Flav makes an appearance to hype the crowd and support R-Truth as he goes one-on-one with William Regal! However, the match quickly comes to a halt as the recently reunited Primo & Carlito hit the ring and assault R-Truth before Carlito lays Truth out with the Back Stabber! As everyone is left questioning the motives of the Colons, the answer becomes all too clear when Primo & Carlito join Ted DiBiase on the stage where “The Fortunate Son” hands payments to Primo & Carlito for their handiwork! Has Ted DiBiase found two “Virgils” in Primo & Carlito?

With Alicia Fox & Gail Kim his guests at ringside, “The Long Island Loudmouth” Zack Ryder appeared on RAW and proclaimed that the last moment that the Mellon Arena will see before they “blow it up” will be his first win on RAW! To accomplish this, Ryder would have to go through the high-flying Evan Bourne! Bourne was set to deliver Air Bourne to Ryder, but Alicia Fox got up from her seat to distract Bourne, but Gail Kim pulled Fox from the apron! Despite Alicia Fox’s efforts, Bourne was able to hit Air Bourne en route to picking up the win and, after the match, Bourne left with Gail Kim!

After having his announcement cut short by Sheamus on last week’s RAW, WWE Champion John Cena appeared on RAW to announce the stipulation for his title defense against “The Animal” Batista at WWE Over The Limit! The WWE Champion starts by actually thanking Sheamus for giving him an “entire week” to think about the stipulation for WWE Over The Limit! Cena states that his victory over Batista in a Last Man Standing Match at WWE Extreme Rules was “intellectual” and vowed that he will prove those who see his duct tape-aided win at WWE Extreme Rules as the act of a “coward”! John Cena then states that, at WWE Over The Limit, there will be “no easy way out” and it will be “brutal” and will be the “last time” he will face Batista with the WWE Title on the line as he will “forfeit” his rematch clause! Cena then announces that there is only “one match” that the two of them can have before announcing that the WWE Title match at WWE Over The Limit will be an “I Quit” Match! Following this blockbuster announcement, “The Champ” calls Sheamus out to personally “thank” him for inspiring him to come up with the “I Quit” Match stipulation! Sheamus comes out and states that he would leave Cena in “no condition” to compete in an “I Quit” Match if he were to come down there! The bold John Cena then tells Sheamus that he will take his “chances” and Sheamus responds by saying that Cena just cost himself his WWE Title! As Sheamus approaches the ring, Cena is met by Batista who comes through the crowd and delivers a Spear to Cena before ramming the WWE Champion spine-first into the steel ring post on the outside! Batista then rolls Cena back into the ring where Sheamus delivers a vicious pump kick to “The Champ”! Batista was set to deal more punishment to Cena, but Mark Henry comes to the aid of John Cena as “The World’s Strongest Man” saves Cena and sends Batista out of the ring! How will Batista & Sheamus respond to Mark Henry’s involvement? With just thirteen days to go before he defends the WWE Title against Batista in an “I Quit” Match at WWE Over The Limit, what kind of shape will John Cena be in for the brutal match?

After his new tag team partner, Chris Jericho, defeated David Hart Smith earlier in the night to earn him and Jericho a shot at the Unified WWE Tag Team Titles at WWE Over The Limit, United States Champion The Miz went one-on-one with the other half of the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions, Tyson Kidd, in a non-title match with the stipulation that, if Kidd defeats Miz, then The Miz must defend the United States Title against a member of the Hart family on next week’s RAW in Toronto, Ontario, Canada! After Tyson Kidd surprises The Miz with a quick roll-up to win the match, The Miz surprises everyone by announcing that he gets to select which member of the Hart family he defends the United States Title against next week and he is selecting none other than WWE Hall of Famer Bret “Hitman” Hart! Bret’s last match was against WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania, how will Bret do against a conditioned Superstar like The Miz? Can Bret upset The Miz and actually win the United States Title in his and the Hart family’s home country of Canada?

One night before one of them will have their dream of becoming a WWE Superstar come to an end via the first NXT elimination, the eight NXT Rookies would compete on RAW in a special 8-on-4 NXT Rookies Vs. RAW Superstars Handicap Match as Rookies Daniel Bryan, David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, Michael Tarver, Skip Sheffield, Darren Young, & Wade Barrett would face RAW Superstars John Morrison, Yoshi Tatsu, Goldust, & Santino Marella! In the end, it was NXT Rookie Daniel Bryan rolling up Santino Marella to pick up his first win since his WWE debut and pick up the upset win for the eight NXT Rookies! While RAW saw the highest of highs for the eight NXT Rookies, NXT will see the lowest of lows for one Rookie as one of the eight Rookies will be eliminated from the competition! Which NXT Rookie will be sent home in the first NXT elimination?

After Mark Henry came to the aid of John Cena earlier in the night, “The World’s Strongest Man” would face Cena’s assailant and the challenger for the WWE Title in an “I Quit” Match at WWE Over The Limit, “The Animal” Batista! Before Mark Henry can even fully enter the ring, Batista attacks “The World’s Strongest Man” and wears Mark Henry with multiple vicious shots with a steel chair before “The Animal” locks a modified headlock onto Henry and forces Henry to tap out and eventually pass out in an aggressive and clear-cut message to WWE Champion John Cena! What is the status of Mark Henry and how will John Cena respond to this “message” by Batista?

Then it was time for the main event as “The Viper” Randy Orton would be forced in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match by new RAW General Manager Vickie Guerrero as Orton would face his WWE Over The Limit opponent, Edge, and a partner of Edge’s choosing! With General Manager Vickie Guerrero at ringside, Randy Orton would compete in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against Edge and the former protégé of Randy Orton, “The Fortunate Son” Ted DiBiase! After escaping the RKO of Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase slid out of the ring, but R-Truth came out and DiBiase fled back into the ring where he was met with the RKO en route to Orton pinning DiBiase and picking up the win! After the match, Randy Orton sets his sights on the new RAW General Manager Vickie Guerrero, but as Orton gets closer to Vickie, the new GM got more and more afraid before shouting that she “resigns” as RAW General Manager! Edge then tries to get the jump on Orton, but “The Viper” strikes with the RKO on the arena floor! Now that Vickie has resigned as GM, who will take control of RAW? What will happen next between Edge & Randy Orton en route to their match at WWE Over The Limit?

The 12th edition of WWE NXT came to you from the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY. Twelve weeks after the eight NXT Rookies made their debut on NXT, one of the eight Rookies will have their dreams of becoming a WWE Superstar crushed as the NXT Rookie ranked at number eight via the second Pros’ Poll will be eliminated from the NXT competition!

WWE NXT (May 11, 2010)
Good Week For: Wade Barrett (defeated Heath Slater and was revealed as the new number one Rookie in NXT)
Bad Week For: Daniel Bryan, Michael Tarver, & Skip Sheffield (were all eliminated from the NXT competition)

Detailed Results Follow…

The show starts off with the eight NXT Rookies as Wade Barrett, Daniel Bryan, Justin Gabriel, David Otunga, Skip Sheffield, Heath Slater, Michael Tarver, & Darren Young make their way to ringside to learn which one of them will have their dreams of a WWE Superstar come to an end via the first NXT elimination! After refusing to compete in numerous NXT contests and having a win/loss record of one win and seven losses in his NXT run, as well as saying that he should be the one eliminated last week, it was revealed that Michael Tarver was the first Rookie eliminated from the NXT competition! While many people were not surprised to see Michael Tarver eliminated from NXT, a shocking announcement was made on NXT as there was a second elimination on NXT! Despite being the most popular NXT Rookie among the eight WWE Pros in the first Pros’ Poll, Daniel Bryan was eliminated from the NXT competition as a result of stating last week that he should be the one eliminated! It was then revealed that the elimination of Daniel Bryan & Michael Tarver were not a result of the second WWE Pros’ Poll, but that the two eliminations were made by WWE management! Following this reveal, it was announced that the second WWE Pros’ Poll will be revealed later in the night with the Rookie ranked at number six Rookie becoming the third Rookie elimination of the night! Which of the six remaining NXT Rookies will be the third Rookie eliminated?

After witnessing the shocking elimination of both Daniel Bryan & Michael Tarver, two of the six remaining NXT Rookies were in action as Wade Barrett went one-on-one with Heath Slater! In the end, it was Barrett picking up the all-important win over Heath Slater! Could Wade Barrett or Heath Slater be the third NXT Rookie eliminated from competition via the second WWE Pros’ Poll?

With the third NXT elimination looming, Skip Sheffield went one-on-one with Darren Young. Following his unique, but vicious jawbreaker finisher, it was the intense Skip Sheffield picking up the win over Darren Young! Could this loss lead to Darren Young being the third NXT Rookie eliminated?

Following his shocking elimination earlier in the night, Daniel Bryan spoke on his NXT elimination and states that he “never makes excuses” and he will “find a way to make it”! Daniel Bryan then proclaims that “Daniel Bryan might be done”, but “God knows” what will happen to Bryan Danielson! Whether he is Daniel Bryan or Bryan Danielson, have we seen the last of this very capable competitor in the WWE?

With the third NXT elimination rapidly approaching, the Rookie who won immunity from elimination by winning the obstacle course challenge last week, Justin Gabriel, went one-on-one with David “A-List” Otunga! In the end, it was Otunga picking up the win over Justin Gabriel! Could this win keep David Otunga from being the third NXT Rookie to be eliminated?

Then it was time for the NXT elimination to take place as Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Skip Sheffield, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, & Darren Young lined up at ringside! When asked who should be eliminated from the NXT competition, Darren Young boldly stated that Wade Barrett should be eliminated! Heath Slater was posed with the same question and Slater said that David Otunga should be eliminated because he “does not belong” in NXT! The immune Justin Gabriel agreed with Slater by saying that David Otunga should be eliminated because he has an “attitude problem”! Skip Sheffield was asked the same question and said that it is “time to separate the men from the boys” before also saying that David Otunga should be eliminated, saying that he “does not belong” in NXT! David Otunga was asked the question of who should be eliminated and Otunga said that Heath Slater should be eliminated because Slater is a “nobody” and accuses Slater of “copying” him! Wade Barrett then agrees with three of his fellow Rookies by saying that David Otunga should be the one eliminated! Then it was time for the big reveal as the second WWE Pros’ Poll would be revealed and the eight WWE Pros voted for the remaining six NXT Rookies! The new number one in the NXT competition was revealed to be Wade Barrett, who moved up from the number two spot from the first Pros’ Poll! The new number two was revealed to be David Otunga, the number three was Justin Gabriel, and the number four was Heath Slater! This means that either Skip Sheffield or Darren Young would be the third NXT eliminated! It was then revealed that Darren Young secured the number five spot, meaning that Skip Sheffield is eliminated from the NXT competition! In his departing words, Skip Sheffield vowed that he will “be back”! Next week on WWE NXT, there will be a third WWE Pros’ Poll and whoever is at the number five spot in that Poll will be eliminated from the competition just like Daniel Bryan, Michael Tarver, & Skip Sheffield have! With Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, & Darren Young left in the NXT competition, who will be eliminated next week and who will come one step closer to achieving their dreams of becoming a WWE Superstar?

The 56th edition of WWE Superstars came to you from the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, PA and from the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY. One week after forcing Chavo Guerrero into submission with the Masterlock, “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters would be in action on Superstars as he would go one-on-one with the Superstar who has brought the sleeper hold back into prominence, “The Platinum Superstar” Dolph Ziggler. After an extended absence from WWE television, two SmackDown Superstars would debut their new tag team on WWE Superstars as former WWE Tag Team Champion Curt Hawkins would team with “The Intense Superstar” Vance Archer to face two local competitors! “The Moscow Mauler” Vladmir Kozlov would also be in action on WWE Superstars as he would face off with a local competitor! The Divas would be in tag team action on Superstars as former Divas Champion Maryse would team with “The Sour Songstress” Jillian to face The Bella Twins.

Nine nights before CM Punk puts his hair on the line against Rey Mysterio, who would essentially put his freedom on the line as, if he loses to Punk, he will be forced to join The Straightedge Society, CM Punk would go one-on-one with Rey Mysterio in a preview to their WWE Over The Limit showdown! After refusing to cease his assault on Matt Hardy last week, Drew McIntyre was suspended, stripped of the Intercontinental Title, and ultimately fired by SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, which left the Intercontinental Championship vacant! After advancing in a four-man tournament last week, this week’s SmackDown would see “Captain Charisma” Christian go one-on-one with Kofi Kingston with the winner being crowned the new Intercontinental Champion!

In a grueling match that saw both men give it absolutely everything they had, it was Kofi Kingston who struck out of nowhere with Trouble In Paradise to finally put Christian down for the three count to allow Kofi to become the new Intercontinental Champion! After the match, Christian showed his respect for Kofi Kingston and the match they just had by shaking the hand of the new Intercontinental Champion! SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long enters the ring and presents the Intercontinental Title belt to Kofi and congratulates the new champion! After being stripped of the Intercontinental Title and fired last week, Drew McIntyre appeared on SmackDown! McIntyre entered the ring and, without saying a word, handed Theodore Long some sort of paper and, after Long read the document, the GM turned to Kofi and informed Kofi that he has to take the Intercontinental Title from him! Kofi refused, saying that he just beat Christian to win the vacant, but begrudgingly handed the Intercontinental Title to Theodore Long, who, in turn, handed it back to Drew McIntyre, who celebrated with the title! What did the letter say? How will Kofi Kingston react to having the Intercontinental Title taken away from him?

SmackDown Color Commentator Matt Striker got a hold of the letter that Drew McIntyre handed to General Manager Theodore Long and read the letter from the Chairman of the WWE, Mr. McMahon! Striker read the letter that stated that Long’s “abuse of power is appalling” and that McIntyre is a “gentleman” and a “voracious competitor” before reading the announcement that the Chairman has “overruled” Theodore Long and Drew McIntyre has been “reinstated” and is still “recognized” as the Intercontinental Champion! How will SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long react? How will Kofi Kingston react to losing the Intercontinental Title in such a manner?

The confident champion proclaims that he achieves more in “one day” than most people do in a lifetime! “The All-American Champion” states that he brought all his trophies and other awards to the ring to show everyone and to show his WWE Over The Limit opponent, Big Show! Swagger continues that, at age five, he was “better” than everyone’s children and he is “better” now! Swagger says that he still “upholds the scout’s honor” at all times and that he was literally “king” of his high school and that he brought a brain surgeon who was in her thirties to the high school prom! Swagger states that there is “more” to Jack Swagger and he wants the fans to see that before dubbing himself a “national hero” and touting that he is a National Scrabble Champion before the World Heavyweight Champion is interrupted by the arrival of his #1 Contender, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show! Big Show calls Swagger’s accomplishments “impressive” and says he is “jealous” of Swagger’s status of a National Scrabble Champion! Swagger asks Big Show to not touch his awards and Big Show responds by “accidentally” smashing the framed Scrabble award and dancing with Swagger’s ballroom dancing trophy before breaking it! The frustration of Jack Swagger leads to Swagger attacking Big Show, but Big Show fights back and Swagger makes a hasty exit! As Swagger watches from the outside, Big Show methodically destroys all of Swagger’s various trophies, awards, and memorabilia before picking up the World Heavyweight Title belt and holding it high before placing it over his shoulder! The real hooded ally of The Straightedge Society then blasted Rey from behind and hit Rey with a modified neckbreaker, which led to Luke Gallows hitting the Gallows’ Pole on Mysterio! Gallows and the mysterious ally then placed Rey on the shoulders of CM Punk to allow Punk to deliver the GTS to Rey! With Rey in a helpless state, Punk placed the hand over the heart of Rey and forced Rey to “pledge allegiance” to The Straightedge Society! Will Rey be forced to join The Straightedge Society in nine nights at WWE Over The Limit?

Intercontinental Title Match Added To WWE Over The Limit: After defeating Christian in the Finals of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament on SmackDown, Kofi Kingston thought he had won the Intercontinental Title, but the recently fired Drew McIntyre came out and delivered a letter from WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon to SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long that read that the WWE Chairman overruled the General Manager’s decision to fire Drew McIntyre and reinstated “The Chosen One” and also overruled Long’s decision to strip McIntyre of the Intercontinental Title, meaning that McIntyre is still the Intercontinental Champion! After believing he won the Intercontinental Title only to reluctantly give the title back, Kofi Kingston would be looking to get what is rightfully his as he will challenge Drew McIntyre for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE Over The Limit!
