Still feeling the effects of the savage attack by the season one NXT Rookies the night before on RAW, the show kicks off with NXT Host Matt Striker, who asks whether the second season of NXT will choose to “follow suit” to what the season one Rookies did before! The returning WWE Pro, The Miz, then comes out and introduces his NXT Rookie, Alex Riley, before walking to the ring with his Rookie! “The Monday Night Delight” John Morrison then introduces his bizarre 7’1” giant of an NXT Rookie, Eli Cottonwood followed by the second-generation Cody Rhodes introducing his third-generation NXT Rookie, Husky Harris! The self-proclaimed “co-Women’s Champions” Michelle McCool & Layla then introduces the world-renowned independent competitor, Kaval, as Lay-Cool actually makes Kaval carry their Women’s Title belts! “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry then introduces his NXT Rookie, Lucky Cannon followed by Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston introducing the third-generation NXT Rookie, Michael McGillicutty! “The Ballin’ Superstar” MVP then comes out and introduces his NXT Rookie, the charismatic and flamboyant “Showtime” Percy Watson and, finally, “The Long Island Iced Z” Zack Ryder brings out his NXT Rookie, the former football player Titus O’Neil! All the NXT Rookies and their WWE Pros stand in the ring as Matt Striker explains that the WWE Pros will only make up 50% of the vote and the WWE fans will make up the other 50% where they can vote for or against the NXT Rookies, via WWE.com! Striker then reveals that the second season of NXT will only be twelve weeks long and, in three weeks’ time, the WWE Pros and WWE fans will vote to establish the first Pros Poll and in six weeks’ time, the NXT eliminations will begin! Who will follow the season one winner, Wade Barrett, as the season two winner of NXT? How will the WWE Pros and their NXT Rookies get along in season two? How will the WWE fans holding half the power to keep or kick the Rookies affect season two of NXT?

The NXT Rookies would get their first chance to impress as the 7’1” monster known as Eli Cottonwood would team with his WWE Pro “The Monday Night Delight” John Morrison to face the former Florida Gator Titus O’Neil and his WWE Pro “The Long Island Iced Z” Zack Ryder! In the end, it was John Morrison hitting Starship Pain on John Morrison en route to picking up the win for himself and his NXT Rookie, Eli Cottonwood! After the match, WWE Pro The Miz commented that he was not impressed by the Rookies’ first outing and that they have “failed”! Does The Miz’s opinions reflect those of the other WWE Pros and the WWE fans?

As the NXT Rookies continue to try and impress the WWE Pros and the WWE fans, “Showtime” Percy Watson would team with his WWE Pro, MVP, to face the third-generation country boy Husky Harris and his WWE Pro, the second-generation “Uncommon Man” Cody Rhodes! In the end, it was Percy Watson hitting the Showtime DDT on Husky Harris en route to picking up the win for himself and his Pro, MVP!

With the WWE Pros and NXT Rookies all in the ring, NXT Host Matt Striker presents the footage of the vicious and unrelenting assault by the season one NXT Rookies that took place on RAW that saw WWE Champion John Cena having to be wheeled out on a stretcher and several others, including CM Punk, Jerry Lawler, & Matt Striker, incapacitated all in the wake of the utter destruction brought on by the season one NXT Rookies. Matt Striker asked Kaval his thoughts on the attack and Kaval said that the attack was “unbelievable” that the season one Rookies would do such a thing, but that is how you “make a statement” in the WWE! Lucky Cannon then calls the attack “cowardly”, but agrees that is how you “make a statement”, while Husky Harris states that he “does not care” because he is there to win NXT! Striker then asks Alex Riley his thoughts, but Riley just fakes a sneeze and says that he is “allergic” to Striker and Percy Watson says he does not find the attack “appropriate” and that a man should fight “one-on-one”! Eli Cottonwood states that John Cena “deserved every bit of it” and Titus O’Neil dares the season one Rookies to come out there and try it with them and if they want to “fight”, then make it a “fight”! Michael McGillicutty then states that all that matters is that an “impact” was made! Striker then states that there is a “prevailing concern” in the WWE locker room for the “safety” of the talent and states that, on behalf of everyone involved with the WWE, he would like to “officially welcome” the NXT Rookies! This leads to Michelle McCool & Layla both slapping their NXT Rookie Kaval, which kicks off the WWE Pros teaming together to dismantle and lay out their own NXT Rookies that ends with Mark Henry laying Titus O’Neil out with the World’s Strongest Slam in a clear cut warning to the season two Rookies! Did the message delivered by the WWE Pros get through to the season two Rookies? What else will happen in the aftermath of the shocking events that took place on RAW?
