The 23rd annual WWE SummerSlam will come to you, live on pay-per-view, from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on August 15. It was announced on RAW that the 7-on-7 Tag Match at the event will now be a 7-on-7 Elimination Tag Match where, when a competitor is pinned, made to submit, disqualified, or counted out, they will be eliminated from the match and will not be permitted to return and this will continue until one team is left intact and the other is completely eliminated. Here is the current card:
- 7-on-7 Elimination Tag Match: Team WWE (John Cena, Edge, Chris Jericho, John Morrison, R-Truth, The Great Khali, & Bret "The Hitman" Hart) Vs. The Nexus (Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Darren Young, Skip Sheffield, & Michael Tarver)
- WWE Championship: Sheamus (c) Vs. Randy Orton
- World Heavyweight Championship: Kane (c) Vs. Rey Mysterio
