Final Build To Survivor Series

Six nights before the 24th annual Survivor Series, the 912th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW would go “old school” in a three-hour special that came to you, live, from the Giant Center in Hershey, PA. With the 24th annual Survivor Series approaching, a number of WWE Legends, many of which who know what Survivor Series is all about as they have competed in the long-running pay-per-view, including “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, The Iron Sheik, Sgt. Slaughter, Nikolai Volkoff, “Mean” Gene Okerlund, & “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan will all make special appearance on the three-hour blast from the past, including “old school” graphics, ring, set design, and more!

Three-Hour “Old School” Monday Night RAW (November 15, 2010)
Good Week For: John Cena (laid out both Wade Barrett & Randy Orton and defeated Alex Riley)
Bad Week For: Layla & Michelle McCool (lost a Falls Count Anywhere Match to the 87-year-old Mae Young)

Detailed Results Follow…

The show kicks off with 80’s era RAW Ring Announcer, Justin Roberts, who introduces the special interviewer for the evening in Hall of Famer “Mean” Gene Okerlund and Okerlund introduces a fellow Hall of Famer and father of the WWE Champion, Randy Orton, in “Cowboy” Bob Orton, Jr.! The Hall of Famer states that he does not “care” if John Cena is the Special Referee for the Survivor Series match and he does not “care” if Cena’s career comes to an end, because that would be “fantastic”! Bob Orton, Jr. then states that he does not “care” if Randy Orton delivers and RKO to both Wade Barrett and John Cena and forces Cena’s hand to count the three! This prompts Nexus leader Wade Barrett to come out and call the Hall of Famer an “old man” before saying that Orton’s prediction for Survivor Series as “phony” as Orton’s signature cast! Barrett continues that he is going to do what Bob Orton could not do in his career and win the WWE Title before stating that the Hall of Famers, like Bob Orton, did not “pave the way” for him because he got to the WWE on his own, through is own “hard work and initiave”! Barrett then tells the Hall of Famer that the only reason he did not bring The Nexus out there with him and beat the Hall of Famer to a “pulp” was because he wants Bob Orton “conscious” to see him win the WWE Title this Sunday before delivering the same threat to Gene Okerlund! “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” The Miz, along with his “apprentice” Alex Riley, then interrupt and states that he was not “thanked” by Randy Orton last week and that is why he betrayed Orton last week! The Miz then states that he can “change the landscape of the entire WWE” by cashing in his Money-in-the-Bank contract before toying with the idea of cashing in his guaranteed title opportunity when WWE Champion Randy Orton arrives in the building before telling Wade Barrett that it would “change things” for Survivor Series as Randy Orton and Wade Barrett would not be fighting for the WWE Title and John Cena would have to stay in The Nexus “forever”! John Cena then appears on the Tron and tells Miz that Miz will not cash in anything before saying that he is going to “protect” Wade Barrett, but it is for his own benefit before challenging The Miz to a one-on-one match on RAW, which The Miz accepts! Can John Cena take out some aggression on The Miz six nights before he is put in an unenviable position as the Special Referee for the WWE Title match or will The Miz pick up the win over John Cena?

With his girlfriend, Vickie Guerrero, in his corner, the opening match would be interpromotional as Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler would go one-on-one with the Hershey, PA appropriate old school “Sexual Chocolate” Mark Henry! In the end, it was Dolph Ziggler hitting the Zig Zag before locking in the sleeper hold on Mark Henry en route to picking up the win!

The WWE Tag Team Champions were in action on RAW as Nexus members Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel would face the dysfunctional Hart Dynasty in a non-title match! During the match, David Hart Smith would go for a tag to his partner, Tyson Kidd, and Kidd would avoid the tag and turn on his partner by delivering a kick to the skull of Smith! This would allow Justin Gabriel to hit the 450 Splash en route to picking up the win! How will David Hart Smith respond to Tyson Kidd’s betrayal?

Backstage, “Mean” Gene Okerlund is interviewing WWE Champion Randy Orton when John Cena’s friend, R-Truth, comes in and tells Orton that he knows what Cena will do and that it is not really a choice for Cena as Cena will choose to free himself from The Nexus and remain in the WWE over being fired! Randy Orton responds by saying that maybe he will take Cena out of the equation by punting in the skull! Will Randy Orton punt John Cena and take him out of the role as the Special Referee for the WWE Title match this Sunday?

Hall of Famer Ring Announcer Howard Finkel then makes an appearance to introduce WWE Legend, The Brooklyn Brawler, who is accompanied by former Women’s Champion Harvey Wippleman! The Brooklyn Brawler then states that he expected a “standing ovation” when he came out before Wippleman calls Brawler the “king of old school” before Wippleman lays out a challenge to anyone who is “new school” and the challenge is answered by “Big Zeke” Ezekiel Jackson! As was the case throughout The Brooklyn Brawler’s career, Brawler would be dispatched of with ease as Ezekiel Jackson would pick up the win after planting Brawler with the Book of Ezekiel!

Backstage, Wade Barrett confronts The Nexus and agrees with David Otunga saying that R-Truth is becoming a “problem” before telling Otunga that he will deal with it! This prompts the anonymous General Manager of RAW to chime in with an email that states that David Otunga will not face R-Truth as Otunga will compete in a “special match” later in the night before the anonymous GM announces that Wade Barrett will be the one facing R-Truth to see if Barrett really is WWE Champion “material”! The Nexus members then assure their leader that they will back him up, but Wade Barrett tells The Nexus that he will face R-Truth one-on-one without help from The Nexus! Can Wade Barrett defeat R-Truth one-on-one or will R-Truth show that Barrett can not survive on his own without The Nexus?

After challenging The Miz earlier in the night in an attempt to keep The Miz from cashing in the Money-in-the-Bank contract later in the night and putting his career in certain jeopardy, John Cena was set to go one-on-one with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” The Miz, but Miz would state that Cena always thinks he is “one step ahead” before saying that Cena thinks that, by taking Miz out, he ensures that the WWE Title match will go off without a hitch this Sunday! The Miz then states that the anonymous RAW General Manager did not “sanction” their match, so he is going to put in a “substitute” in his “apprentice”, Alex Riley! In the end, it was John Cena making fairly quick work of The Miz’s “apprentice” by forcing Riley to tap out to his STF! After the match, WWE Champion Randy Orton would rush out and attack The Miz in an attempt to prevent The Miz from potentially cashing in the Money-in-the-Bank contract and this would prompt Nexus members Husky Harris & Michael McGillicutty to temporarily attack Randy Orton, but Orton would easily dispatch of the two before Orton would engage in a brawl with John Cena! Several WWE officials would rush out and separate the two Superstars before the anonymous General Manager of RAW chimed in with an email announcing that, since RAW is going “old school”, then John Cena and Randy Orton will both be guests on the legendary Piper’s Pit later in the night with “Rowdy” Roddy Piper! Over the years, Piper’s Pit has been home to some of the most memorable moments in WWE history, but what will happen when John Cena and WWE Champion Randy Orton are guests on the show just six nights before Survivor Series?

Former WWE World Tag Team Champions and WWE Hall of Famers The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff then make an appearance on the “Old School” RAW as Volkoff would sing the Russian national anthem before the Legends are interrupted by Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov! Santino reveals that they are out there because his Russian tag team partner, Vladimir Kozlov, would like to join Nikolai Volkoff in singing the Russian national anthem! After singing off-key, Santino would interrupt the song and states that he has a song of his own before introducing the legendary manager, Slick, to help Santino tear the house down with their song! Santino then asks The Iron Sheik about their song and the always outspoken, but rarely understandable, Hall of Famer says that, without him, there would be no “Hulkamania” and that Russia and Iran are “number one” and telling the fans to stop chanting “USA” and telling them to “shut up”! After The Iron Sheik’s mic was silenced, Jey & Jimmy Uso would come out for their #1 Contender’s match against Santino & Kozlov, but the manager of The Usos, Tamina, would be joined at ringside by her father, Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka!

Then it was time to determine the #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles as Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov would face Jey & Jimmy Uso, with Tamina and Tamina’s father, Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka” in their corner! In the end, it was Santino Marella striking with the Cobra Strike en route to picking up the win and becoming the #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles! After the match, Sheamus would run out with the intent of getting his hands on Santino Marella as Sheamus would deliver the Brogue Kick to Vladimir Kozlov as well as one of the Usos before John Morrison would run out and attack Sheamus, sending Sheamus packing from the ring! Morrison then reveals why he has been interfering in the rivalry between Santino and Sheamus by saying that Sheamus is a “bully” and he has learned that if you confront a “bully” then they will back down! Morrison then challenges Sheamus to come into the ring and face him and Sheamus does what Morrison eluded to as Sheamus would opt not to fight Morrison and would back away from the challenge! When will these two Superstars finally face off?

After having the anonymous RAW General Manager stating that he would be in a “special match”, that match would see Nexus member David Otunga go one-on-one with SmackDown Superstar Kofi Kingston! During the match, Hall of Famer George “The Animal” Steele would wander out to the ring as the bizarre legend would make his way to the ring corner to enjoy his favorite snack, the contents of the turnbuckle pad! The antics of George Steele would distract, and confuse, David Otunga long enough for Kofi Kingston to hit the Trouble In Paradise en route to picking up the win!

Backstage, John Morrison is talking with legends Gerry Brisco & Arn Anderson over his confrontation with Sheamus when Sheamus comes out of nowhere and lays Morrison out with the Brogue Kick before telling the two legends to inform Morrison, when Morrison gains consciousness, that he accepts Morrison’s challenge to a match and he will face him at Survivor Series! What will happen when Sheamus and Morrison go one-on-one this Sunday?

Backstage, NXT Rookie Diva Aksana, with the Million Dollar Title over her shoulder, is confronted by WWE Legend “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, who directs Aksana towards her mom, who turns out to be Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes wearing a blonde wig! This distracts Aksana long enough for Kelly Kelly to throw a net over the Rookie Diva, allowing Aksana’s husband, Goldust, to take back the Million Dollar Title! Goldust then states that the Million Dollar Title has cost him “more grief that it’s worth” and that he will turn it over to it’s “rightful owner”! Goldust then gives the Million Dollar Title to it’s original owner, “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, who is assured by his taxman, Irwin R. Schyster; I.R.S., that he will put in a suitable “tax shelter”! “The Million Dollar Man” then tries to give the Million Dollar Title back to his son, Ted DiBiase, but DiBiase tells his father to keep it because he is interested in “something else” that is not a “hand-me-down”! “Dashing” Cody Rhodes then comes in and says that it was not very “dashing” and Goldust asks his brother to teach him some “grooming tips”, but Rhodes tells Goldust not to “breath” on him! The father of both Goldust & “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, Dusty Rhodes, then states that he raised some “weird kids” before initiating a Legend dance party with himself, Kelly Kelly, a netted Aksana, “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, I.R.S., Tatanka, & “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, but the dancing would cease when legend Ron Simmons would step in and deliver his signature “damn”!

Then it was time for Nexus leader and #1 Contender for the WWE Title, Wade Barrett, to try and prove himself in a one-on-one encounter as Barrett would go one-on-one with the good friend of John Cena in R-Truth! In the end, it was Wade Barrett hitting the Wasteland on R-Truth en route to picking up the win! Will Wade Barrett do the same this Sunday night en route to becoming WWE Champion? Will John Cena count the fall to keep his job?

In the ring, Ricardo Rodriguez was set to introduce Alberto Del Rio, but Hall of Famer Tito Santana would come out and would do his own introduction of Del Rio as Del Rio would come out and would have his care being driven by legend and the oldest Cruisweight Champion in history in the father of Chavo Guerrero, Chavo Classic! Alberto Del Rio would state that all of the WWE Legends should follow Tito Santana and Chavo Classic and “respect” him! This would bring out Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter, who tells Alberto Del Rio to shut his “hole” and calls Del Rio a “puke” before saying that there are two things that you don’t mess with, “legends and America” before telling Del Rio to “earn” his respect by facing him! Del Rio tells Slaughter to “bring it” before ordering a referee to come down to the ring so they could have their match! Despite an impressive effort by the Hall of Famer, Alberto Del Rio would hit an enziguiri on Sgt. Slaughter en route to picking up the win! After the match, Alberto Del Rio would lock in the cross armbreaker on the Hall of Famer before MVP would rush out and run Del Rio off! How will Alberto Del Rio respond to MVP’s run-in?

The Hall of Fame interviewer “Mean” Gene Okerlund would then introduce a special Hall of Fame guest as Okerlund brings out the sexual and feisty 87-year-old Hall of Famer Mae Young! However, the self-proclaimed “co-Divas Champions” Layla & Michelle McCool would come out and ask if it was an “Old School” RAW or if it was “Jurassic Park” before LayCool states that they have something Mae Young has never had, a championship before asking the fans to give her a hand for someone who is “old enough to be Betty White’s grandmother” before saying that Mae wants her “Ensure” and that she needs her “adult diaper” changed! A fired up Mae Young would then call LayCool a couple of “PG-13” names before challenging LayCool to a No Disqualification Match and LayCool changes it to a Falls Count Anywhere Match! Mae would then get some back up as the #1 Contender for the Divas Title, Natalya, Melina, Eve Torres, & Gail Kim would back up the Hall of Famer by attacking the “co-Divas Champions” before Melina & Eve bring Layla over and allows Mae Young to slap Layla before Natalya delivers a clothesline to Layla before Mae Young would pin Layla to allow the 87-year-old Legend to pin one-half of the self-proclaimed “co-Divas Champions”!

The “Old School” RAW would then be met from a legend from behind the desk as legendary commentator and Hall of Famer “Good Ol’ J.R.” Jim Ross would return to make a special appearance to serve as a commentator next to Jerry “The King” Lawler and a disgruntled Michael Cole as Michael Cole and the legendary Hall of Fame team of J.R. & “The King” would call an interpromotional match as United States Champion Daniel Bryan would go one-on-one with “The All-American American” Jack Swagger! At the end of a hard-fought match, it was Daniel Bryan delivering a kick to the skull of Jack Swagger en route to picking up the win! However, Daniel Bryan’s celebration would be short-lived as Ted DiBiase would come out of nowhere and deliver Dream Street to the United States Champion, physically expressing his desire to hold the legendary gold! Will Ted DiBiase get his shot at the United States Title? How will Daniel Bryan respond to Ted DiBiase’s attack?

It was announced on RAW that, this Sunday at Survivor Series, there will be a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match as Team Mysterio, consisting of Rey Mysterio, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show, “The Ballin’ Superstar” MVP, Kofi Kingston, & “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters will face Team Del Rio, consisting of Alberto Del Rio, “The All-American American” Jack Swagger, “The Sinister Scotsman” Drew McIntyre, “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, & Tyler Reks! Who will survive Survivor Series to lead their team to victory?

After calling the Daniel Bryan Vs. Jack Swagger match in a commentary flashback, Hall of Famer Jim Ross would take his leave, but not before smacking Michael Cole with his signature black cowboy hat!

Then it was time for a volatile blast from the past as Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper would return to host the legendary and controversial Piper’s Pit with his guests, WWE Champion Randy Orton and the Special Referee for the WWE Title match this Sunday at Survivor Series, John Cena! Roddy Piper states that “old school” to him is not about “nostalgia”, but it is about having to “man up” like he has in the past by smashing a coconut over the head of Jimmy Snuka or smashing a gold record over the head of Captain Lou Albano! Piper then proclaimed that, when there was a “problem”, something was “done” about it before Roddy Piper would introduce one of his guests, John Cena! With Cena in the ring, Roddy Piper tells Cena that he and many other legends have not had the chance to be the WWE Champion and, if Cena gives Wade Barrett the WWE Title without Barrett deserving it, then Cena would be “spitting in the face” of all the legends and tells Cena not to “spit” in his face! Piper then tells Cena to “do the right thing” before Cena states that he will call it down the middle at Survivor Series regardless of what it means for him! This prompts Nexus leader Wade Barrett to interrupt and remind Cena of the stipulations surrounding the WWE Title match this Sunday where Cena will either be “free or fired” depending on if Wade Barrett wins the WWE Title or not before Wade Barrett orders John Cena to put on The Nexus t-shirt on Cena’s last RAW as a part of The Nexus, which Cena is forced to do! This would bring out the other guest in Piper’s Pit, WWE Champion Randy Orton as Orton would set his sights on his opponent this Sunday, Wade Barrett, as the WWE Champion would attack the Nexus leader before getting ready to punt Barrett! However, John Cena would intervene to protect Wade Barrett and Cena would get dropped via an RKO from Randy Orton! Wade Barrett would then try to get the better of Randy Orton, but Orton would get the better of the Nexus leader as Orton would throw Barrett out of the ring before Orton would set his sights on John Cena, ready to punt the Special Referee right out of Survivor Series, but Cena would narrowly avoid disaster via the boot of Orton and would plant Orton with the Attitude Adjustment! Cena would then help Wade Barrett to his feet before Barrett would tell Cena to raise his hand in victory, but Cena would refuse and instead lay out his “boss” with an Attitude Adjustment, which would prompt Roddy Piper to raise the arm of John Cena! How will Wade Barrett respond to the actions of John Cena? How will Randy Orton respond? What will happen this Sunday at Survivor Series when John Cena serves as the Special Referee in the WWE Title match between Randy Orton & Wade Barrett? Will John Cena call the match fairly and risk being fired if Wade Barrett does not win the WWE Title or will Cena do whatever it takes to keep his job?

With the Season Three Finale of NXT just two weeks away, the eleventh week of NXT Season Three came to you from the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, VA. With only A.J., Naomi, Aksana, & Kaitlyn remaining in the NXT competition, another Rookie Diva would be sent home as the third elimination of NXT Season Three would take place!

WWE NXT (November 16, 2010)
Good Week For: A.J. (would be immune from elimination and would win another NXT contest and defeated Aksana)
Bad Week For: Aksana (was eliminated from NXT and divorced by Goldust)

Detailed Results Follow…

On a night where the third NXT elimination of Season Three would take place, the final four NXT Rookie Divas would be looking to earn some last minute immunity by racking up the challenge wins and NXT Host Matt Striker would bring Rookie Divas A.J., Naomi, Aksana, & Kaitlyn out to compete in “How Well Do You Know Your WWE Pro?” where the Rookie Divas would try to answer various questions and match their answers to those of their respective Pros! The first question was for the Pros & Rookies to answer what the Pros thought of their Rookies at first sight as Primo and A.J. would score first as they would both guess that Primo thought A.J. was “underage” at first sight! Goldust and Aksana would then both guess that Goldust thought Aksana was “sexy” and “hot” when Goldust first saw her! The dysfunctional Pro & Rookie Diva pairing of Vickie Guerrero & Kaitlyn would then give their answers as Kaitlyn would guess that Vickie thought that Kaitlyn was so much prettier than her at first sight and Vickie reveals that she thought her Rookie Diva was a “man” at first sight! Last up, Kelly Kelly & Naomi would both guess that Kelly Kelly thought that Naomi was “athletic” at first sight! The second question was for the WWE Pros to rate, on a scale of 1-5, the amount of in-ring ability their Rookie Diva has! First up was Kelly Kelly & Naomi and both Pro & Rookie Diva would match answers again as both would guess that Naomi has a “5” in terms of in-ring ability! Vickie & Kaitlyn were next and Vickie would answer with a “3” while Kaitlyn would guess a “1”, followed by Aksana guessing a “5” and Goldust guessing a “3”! Last up was Primo & A.J. as Primo would guess a “4” and A.J. would also guess “4”! Then it was time for the final question as the Pros & Rookie Divas would both guess who the Rookie Divas think should be eliminated! Primo & A.J. would be up first and, for the third time in the challenge, the Pro & Rookie Diva would match answers as both would answer that Aksana will be the next Rookie Diva eliminated! Goldust & Aksana would then make their guesses as Goldust would guess A.J. while Aksana guesses Kaitlyn! Vickie & Kaitlyn would then match answers by both guessing that Naomi would be the next Rookie Diva eliminated, followed by Kelly Kelly guessing Kaitlyn and Naomi guessing Aksana, meaning that A.J. would be named the winner of the challenge! With this challenge win, can A.J. avoid elimination?

On a night where one of them could be eliminated from NXT, the Rookie Divas were in action as Kaitlyn would go one-on-one with Naomi! In the end, it was Naomi hitting a leg lariat on Kaitlyn en route to picking up the win!

NXT would also see a confrontation between husband and wife and WWE Pro & NXT Rookie Diva as Aksana would apologize to Goldust and would present flowers to her WWE Pro! Goldust would accept the apology of his Rookie Diva, saying that since he does not have the Million Dollar Title, then everything is fine between them!

Up next would see the other two Rookie Divas face off as A.J. would go one-on-one with Aksana! In the end, it would be A.J. using her flexibility to lock in a crucifix submission hold, forcing Aksana to tap out!

Then it was time for the gloves to come off as the four Rookie Divas would compete in the Diss The Diva contest as the Rookie Divas would each be given sixty seconds to disrespect the other Rookie Divas and say why they should win NXT Season Three! First up was A.J. and the Rookie Diva lays into her opposition as she reminds Aksana that she just made Aksana tap out and saying that no one would know who Kaitlyn is if it was not for Vickie Guerrero and would also say that Naomi has the personality of a “dripping faucet”! The Lithuanian Rookie Diva, Aksana, was up next as Aksana told Naomi to stay away from her husband, Goldust, before telling A.J. that she looks like a “child” before proclaiming that everyone wants to be like her! Up next was Kaitlyn, who says that, if NXT was like high school, then Naomi would be the “jock”, Aksana would be the “foreign exchange student”, and A.J. would be the “nerd”! Lastly, it was Naomi as she would say that Kaitlyn can not wrestle, jumps around to impersonate A.J., and says that Aksana will go the way of Jamie & Maxine by being eliminated! The crowd would then decide that Naomi would be the winner of the Diss The Diva contest!

Then it was time to determine who would be the third NXT Rookie Diva eliminated as, with A.J. earning immunity from elimination, either Naomi, Aksana, or Kaitlyn would be eliminated! It would then be revealed that Aksana would be the one to be eliminated from NXT and, upon hearing this news, the eliminated Rookie Diva would faint! After coming to, Aksana would state that her eliminated was a “mistake” and she is going to write a letter to WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon over the elimination before making the walk out of the arena, but before making her exit, Aksana’s husband and, now, former WWE Pro, Goldust, would stop his former Rookie Diva and state that he wants a divorce from Aksana! With only A.J., Naomi, & Kaitlyn, another Rookie Diva will be eliminated on next week’s NXT, so who will be eliminated next week? Who will be the final two Rookie Divas come the Season Three Finale of NXT in two weeks?

The 83rd edition of WWE Superstars came to you from the Giant Center in Hershey, PA and from the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, VA. In a high-flying face-off, the WWE Pro to A.J. on NXT Season Three, Primo, would go one-on-one with the lightning quick Yoshi Tatsu! WWE Superstars would also see a tag team battle of former Divas & Women’s Champions as “The A-List Diva” Melina would team with Gail Kim to face former Divas Champions Maryse & Alicia Fox!

WWE Superstars (November 18, 2010)
Good Week For: Melina & Gail Kim (picked up a win in the main event)
Bad Week For: Curt Hawkins (lost to Trent Barreta)

Detailed Results Follow…

The show kicks off with SmackDown action as “The Brooklyn Baller” JTG would go one-on-one with Chavo Guerrero! In the end, it was the veteran Chavo Guerrero landing the Frog Splash on JTG en route to picking up the win!

Curt Hawkins was in action on WWE Superstars as Hawkins would go one-on-one with one-half of The Dude Busters, Trent Barreta! In the end, it was Trent Barreta hitting a springboard DDT on Curt Hawkins en rout to picking up the win!

With Scott Stanford & “The Straightedge Savior” CM Punk on commentary, two RAW high-flyers would resume their rivalry as Primo would go one-on-one with Yoshi Tatsu! In the end, it was Yoshi Tatsu hitting a spinning heel kick off of the top rope en route to picking up the win!

Then it was time for the main event as the Divas would be in tag team action as Melina would team with Gail Kim to face Maryse & Alicia Fox! In the end, it was Melina rolling up Maryse en route to picking up the win!

Four Superstars & Two Divas Released: WWE.com announced on Friday that World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of four Superstars and two Divas as SmackDown Superstars Caylen Croft, Shad Gaspard, Vance Archer, & Luke Gallows, SmackDown Diva Tiffany, & RAW Diva Jillian have all been released from their contracts. Along with Trent Barreta, Caylen Croft (Kris Pavone) debuted on the December 1, 2009 edition of the now defunct ECW and the team would later become known as The Dude Busters and would debut on SmackDown on February 19 and would earn their first tag team victory on August 26 when they defeated Curt Hawkins & Vance Archer. Caylen Croft’s final appearance on WWE television was on the September 24 edition of SmackDown. Shad Gaspard made his debut, along with tag team partner, JTG, as Cryme Tyme on October 16, 2006. Throughout the life of the Cryme Tyme team, the duo had many memorable feuds and matches with several former tag team champions and even formed a temporary alliance with John Cena in Cena’s feud with JBL in 2008. Cryme Tyme would then get drafted to SmackDown in 2009 and would end up earning a shot at the Unified WWE Tag Team Titles against then champions Big Show & Chris Jericho at SummerSlam in 2009. Cryme Tyme would take part in the 26-Man Battle Royal prior to WrestleMania XXVI and, shortly after this, Cryme Tyme would lose a tag match against R-Truth & John Morrison and, after that match, Shad Gaspard would turn on his partner, JTG, leading to a Strap Match between the two teammates at Extreme Rules and a one-on-one rematch on WWE Superstars the week after, which would end up being Shad’s last appearance on WWE television. Vance Archer (Lance Hoyt) made his WWE debut on the November 3, 2009 edition of ECW and would engage in feuds with Tommy Dreamer and Shelton Benjamin and would make his WrestleMania debut in a pre-show 26-Man Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXVI before getting drafted to SmackDown where Archer formed a team with the returning Curt Hawkins and the team was given an ultimatum by SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long to “make an impact” within 30 days to earn their spots on the SmackDown roster and the team would do so by attacking both MVP and Christian on separate weeks and would end up defeating both Superstars in June. The team would engage in a short rivalry with The Dude Busters before Curt Hawkins attacked Vance Archer on the October 7 edition of WWE Superstars, brining an end to the team. Vance Archer would have his final appearance on WWE television on the November 4 edition of WWE Superstars in a losing effort to Luke Gallows. Luke Gallows (Drew Hankinson) originally debuted in the WWE as “Imposter Kane” as he would engage in a feud with the real Kane, even defeating the real thing at Vengeance in 2006. Shortly after this, Kane would attack the imposter and remove his mask, bringing an end to the rivalry. In 2007, Hankinson would debut as “Festus”, a mentally impaired competitor who would team with his tag partner and handler, Jesse, as Festus would remain in a stoic and unresponsive state until the bell rang and Festus would transform into an angry and determined competitor. Jesse & Festus would continue their team, even getting a shot at the WWE Tag Team Titles of The Miz & John Morrison, but Festus would disappear from television after losing to The Undertaker, where Undertaker locked Festus in Hell’s Gate. Festus would later be drafted to RAW in the 2009 WWE Draft, but would never appear on the show. After a six month hiatus from television, Hankinson would make his debut as Luke Gallows on the November 29, 2009 edition of SmackDown as Gallows would accompany CM Punk to the ring. After Punk’s match with Matt Hardy, Punk would reveal that Luke Gallows was the true identity of Festus and Gallows behaved like Festus due to Gallows’ alcoholic problems, which Punk “saved” Gallows from and, thus, becoming a part of what would become known as CM Punk’s Straightedge Society as Punk & Gallows would also be joined by Serena. Gallows would assist CM Punk in many endeavors, including a feud with Rey Mysterio where Punk would face Mysterio in a match at WrestleMania. After CM Punk was shaved bald at Over The Limit, The Straightedge Society began to fall apart as the group engaged in a feud with Big Show. After failing to defeat Big Show in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match on the September 3 edition of SmackDown, CM Punk would deliver the GTS to Luke Gallows, bringing an end to The Straightedge Society. Gallows would then embark on a brief run as a singles competitor as Gallows would confront his former mentor, CM Punk, backstage, leading to a one-on-one match between the two; a match that Gallows lost. Gallows’ last television appearance was on the November 4 edition of WWE Superstars, defeating Vance Archer. Jillian Hall (Jillian Fletcher) made her WWE debut on July 28, 2005 as an image consultant for MNM. Jillian would later serve as the manager of John “Bradshaw” Layfield and, after being fired by JBL, Jillian would engage in several feuds with fellow WWE Divas before being drafted to RAW in 2007. Jillian would continue as a singer on RAW for several years before Jillian would win her first championship in WWE when she defeated Mickie James for the Divas Title on RAW on October 12, but would immediately lose the Divas Title to a returning Melina on the same night. Jillian would make a few more small appearances on television, but would mostly serve as a trainer in WWE’s developmental territory, FCW, until her release. Tiffany (Taryn Terrell) would make her WWE debut on the June 10, 2008 edition of ECW as the Assistant General Manager for Theodore Long and would be promoted to the General Manager of ECW in April 2009. Tiffany would continue her role as ECW General Manager until the end of the ECW brand in February, which would lead to Tiffany joining the SmackDown roster as an in-ring competitor. Tiffany would form an alliance with Kelly Kelly, forming The Blondetourage as the duo would feud with Layla & Michelle McCool before Tiffany was absent from television due to a legitimate indefinite suspension stemming from Tiffany’s real-life husband, Drew McIntyre.

Two nights before he leads Team Del Rio in the Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match against Team Mysterio at Survivor Series and before he goes one-on-one with Rey Mysteruo in a Captain Vs. Captain Match later in the night, the show kicks off with the self-proclaimed “Essence of Excellence” Alberto Del Rio! Del Rio states that, after twenty-four years, Survivor Series will finally be “great” because he will be the Superstar of the show! Del Rio proclaims that Team Del Rio is going to “destroy” Rey Mysterio and his “little team” before saying that Rey is not the only one who likes to be “destroyed” as some people like to “learn the hard way” and no one is better than him to “teach” them a lesson just like he did to WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter on the 3-Hour “Old School” RAW on Monday! Del Rio proclaims that he made the “little action figure”, Sgt. Slaughter, “cry” before stating that he is their “hero”! This brings out the man who stopped his attack on Sgt. Slaughter on RAW as MVP comes out and states that the fans want him to punch Del Rio right in the mouth! MVP continues that they’ve seen Del Rio’s “act” before and tells Del Rio that he is a “dime a dozen” before saying that it is the legends and Hall of Famers who “paved the way” for Alberto Del Rio and that the legends made the WWE what it is today! Del Rio responds by saying that MVP will never be a “legend” while he is already a “legend”! MVP responds to this proclamation by threatening to give Del Rio a “legendary beat down” and Del Rio states that there is going to be a “fight”, but not between them; it will be between him and Rey Mysterio! Before leaving the ring, Del Rio tells MVP that he can’t “handle” him before saying that he will bring him a member of Team Del Rio to have a match against before bringing out MVP’s opponent, “The Chosen One” Drew McIntyre! In the end, it was MVP hitting the Ballin’ Boot to Drew McIntyre en route to picking up the win! Is this a sign of things to come for Team Mysterio?

Backstage, Edge is with a still bound and gagged Paul Bearer as Edge tells Bearer that Kane and “no one” else is going to find them, but they will go see Kane by the end of the night! Edge tells Bearer that it’s been a “barrel of laughs” before getting in a wheelchair of his own and winning a drag race against the immobile Paul Bearer! Edge then asks Bearer if he’s rather play “Trivial Pursuit” or “Jenga” before telling Bearer that he’s got a “better idea”! What does Edge have in store for his captive victim, Paul Bearer?

Backstage, an angry World Heavyweight Champion Kane barges into the office of SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long and demands to know where Edge & Paul Bearer are at and, when Long tells Kane he does not know where they are at, Kane accuses of “lying” to him before wrecking the GM’s office as Long narrowly escapes!

In the second Survivor Series Showdown of the night, “The All-American American” Jack Swagger, representing Team Del Rio, would go one-on-one with “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters, representing Team Mysterio! In the end, it was Jack Swagger locking on the ankle lock, forcing Chris Masters, to tap out to pick up the win!

Backstage, Edge is with a bound Paul Bearer as Edge tells Bearer that Bearer is going to teach him to “stick and move” and, after a couple of misses and a low hit, Edge would connect with a soccer ball right to the head of Paul Bearer! What else does Edge have in store for Kane’s father?

The Intercontinental Champion was in action on SmackDown as Dolph Ziggler would go one-on-one with “The World Warrior” Kaval in a non-title match! In the end, it was Kaval rolling up the ultra-confident Intercontinental Champion to pick up the upset win! After the match, Kaval informs Dolph Ziggler that, as the winner of NXT Season Two, he can get a title shot at a pay-per-view of his choosing and he is choosing this Sunday at Survivor Series to challenge Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Title! Can Kaval defeat Dolph Ziggler a second time, this time to win the Intercontinental Title, or will Dolph’s reign as champion continue?

Then it was time for another Survivor Series Showdown as Team Mysterio’s Kofi Kingston would go one-on-one with Team Del Rio’s “Dashing” Cody Rhodes! In the end, it was “Dashing” Cody Rhodes hitting Cross Rhodes on Kofi Kingston en route to picking up the win!

Two nights before she challenges both Layla & Michelle McCool in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match for the Divas Title, Natalya would team with Kelly Kelly to face the self-proclaimed “co-Divas Champions” LayCool! Without Kelly Kelly even getting tagged in, LayCool would hit a double big boot on Natalya en route to Layla pinning Natalya to pick up the win for LayCool! Will this be the result of this Sunday’s 2-on-1 Handicap Match for the Divas Title?

Backstage, Edge is eating some of the food he ordered as Edge enjoys pizza, hot wings, breadsticks, and brownies as Edge smashes and dumps food all over Paul Bearer before asking Bearer if he is ready to go find Kane! How will Kane react when he sees Edge and his bound father, Paul Bearer?

Backstage, a seething and angry World Heavyweight Champion Kane suddenly breaks down into tears over the abduction of his father, Paul Bearer! Has Edge “broken” the World Heavyweight Champion? With this psychological advantage, is Edge a shoe-in to win the World Heavyweight Title this Sunday?

In another Survivor Series Showdown, Tyler Reks would face his toughest test to date in his young career as Reks would go one-on-one with “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show! Despite knocking Big Show off of his feet early in the match, the rest of the match was downhill for Tyler Reks as Big Show would plant Reks with a chokeslam en route to picking up the win! Team Mysterio and Team Del Rio have both racked up two wins in the four Survivor Series Showdown matches, but which Team Captain will emerge victorious over the other?

Backstage, Edge and the still bound Paul Bearer arrive in the arena and Edge calls out for Kane to find him and even allows Paul Bearer to yell for Kane! Kane would finally track down Paul Bearer, who has been loaded into a van by Edge and Kane can not find Edge anywhere, but Edge would appear and dive off of the top of the van onto Kane before throwing Kane into a metal table nearby before getting in the van and speed off with Paul Bearer still in the van! What will happen between Kane and Edge this Sunday at Survivor Series? Will Edge still be in possession of Paul Bearer?

Then it was time for the main event as the respective captains of Team Mysterio and Team Del Rio would face off as “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio would go one-on-one with the self-proclaimed “Essence of Excellence” Alberto Del Rio in a Captain Vs. Captain Match! Early in the match, the other four Superstars that make up Team Del Rio would rush out and attack Rey Mysterio, prompting the rest of Team Mysterio to rush out, sparking a brawl between the two teams, prompting SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long to come out and announcer a Survivor Series Showdown Battle Royal between the two teams!

In a Survivor Series Showdown pitting Team Mysterio against Team Deal Rio, Rey Mysterio, Big Show, MVP, Kofi Kingston, & Chris Masters would face Alberto Del Rio, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre, “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, & Tyler Reks in a Team Battle Royal! The first elimination would come at the hands of Chris Masters as Masters would eliminate “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, followed by Tyler Reks later eliminating Chris Masters! Kofi Kingston would get the next elimination by eliminating Tyler Reks, followed by Drew McIntyre eliminating Kofi Kingston and Alberto Del Rio eliminating MVP! Big Show would then hurl Drew McIntyre over the top rope to eliminate McIntyre before Rey Mysterio would eliminate Alberto Del Rio! In the end, it was Rey Mysterio hitting the 619 and Big Show eliminating Jack Swagger to pick up the win for Team Mysterio with Rey Mysterio and Big Show surviving! Will Team Mysterio repeat this success this Sunday at Survivor Series?
