T3C: The UK Scene?

Welcome to another Three Count article. This week I want to take another look at wrestling in the UK. The past few weeks I’ve been to more shows than I have for ages watching promotions such as RQW, NCW, PTW,IPW:UK, Premier Promotions, CWC and on Sunday June 3rd, SAS Wrestling. Have I been impressed with what I’ve seen?

T3C: Back to the Drawing Board

Welcome to another Three Count and this time around I’m taking a look at what’s been happening in WWE these past few weeks. There’s certainly been a number of events which has left the companies plans in tatters but have the new ideas been fully thought through and is it perhaps time to end this whole brand extension when it comes to having two champions?

Mick Foley Interview – Part One

Mick Foley had a plan, not perhaps a cunning one but one that would make fans buy the ECW One Night Stand II PPV in their droves. In hindsight it’s a shame he couldn’t have waited until December to Dismember! Foley couldn’t wait though, he had a plan that would change the face of how fans perceived his character, make a new generation adore a sixty-year old wrestler and forever change the backside of Vince McMahon…

T3C: Wrestlemania 23 Preview – ‘Bald will suit you Vince!’

So we come to the biggest show of the year and a rather strangely constructed Wrestlemania 23 event. Despite being present the Raw tag champs, IC Champion and ECW World Champion aren’t putting their belts on the line. No sign either of a cruiserweight title match or Smackdown tag title match either. Why have titles if they’re not going to be defended on the biggest show of the year? As is often the case Mr McMahon thinks he’s more important than his wrestlers and again will steal the limelight in his Battle of the Billionaires match which will see him doing Kojak impressions for the next few months. Time to preview Wrestlemania 23…

T3C: Do we really need ECW?

Once there was a wrestling company that was innovative, entertaining and sadly run as well financially as a Christmas hamper business. ECW changed wrestling all over the world, it may not have had the highest attendances and could only dream of the kind of buy rates WWE get on an off-day but they’ll live on in our memories forever. Of course ECW isn’t dead is it? It still exists in the mind of Vince McMahon who saw some dollar signs in front of his eyes and believed he could make some money by resurrecting ECW. This month it has its first PPV but do we really need ECW?

T3C: WWE Cyber Sunday 2006 – Who gives a Vote!

So what was Taboo about a Tuesday then? Oh yeah crap PPV buy rates, that’s what. Nothing to do with the crap that goes on in the ring though of course. Well it’s time to click on the vote button as many times as you want and get ready for Cyber Sunday…

T3C: The Truth

Welcome to another edition of The Three Count and this weeks inspiration is Hancock. No not Miss Hancock, the delectable gimmick of Stacy Keibler in WCW (now partly nicked by Michelle McCool with 50% of the talent and about 60% of the legs) but Tony Hancock, the late great comedian…

T3C: Mid-card invasion or wasted talent?

Welcome to another Three Count, you know it’s been a strange year in WWE because certain things have been happening that many of us have been calling for relentlessly over a very long period of time. Trouble is now it’s arrived I don’t want it!
