Mitsuharu Misawa’s Pro Wrestling NOAH will be running a Rikidozan memorial show on December 11th. Rikidozan’s son, Mitsuo Momota, will work the show in a tag match with Tsuyoshi Kikuchi against KENTA and Naomichi Marufuji for the Global Honoured Champions tag titles.
It looks set that Yuji Nagata versus Genichiro Tenryu will happen at the promotion’s annual March 1st Tokyo Dome show.
Osaka Pro Wrestling will stage a J-Cup tournament on February 21st, 2004. Names expected to be announced for the show include Jushin Lyger, El Samurai, Kendo Kashin, CIMA and lots more from All Japan, New Japan, Zero-One, Toryumon, Michinoku Pro and a few more Indies.
On New Years eve Puroresu legend Antonio Inoki will stage his annual mixed martial arts show. Matches announced thus far include Josh Barnett versus Semmy Schilt and Mirko Cro Cop versus Yoshihiro Takayama. Expect Takayama to be slaughtered. This show may be the biggest MMA show of the year.
