The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
GB&U: Raw - 24th April 2006
by Chris Dewing on 28 April 2006
OK, so I took ANOTHER week off, but this was for a reason. Reasons that involved me and my position here that thankfully have now been resolved, meaning that your favourite RAW and SmackDown! recapper is still on Wrestling101.com. Ain’t that just the greatest? Well even if you think it isn’t, tough luck, because I am here to stay. Unlike Sabu with TNA of course, and if the Newsreel was still alive, I’d have something to say about that. But oh well...

GB&U: Raw - 10th April 2006
by Chris Dewing on 14 April 2006
OK, so I took a week off. You can’t blame me for that, I’m a busy guy. Kinda. OK, so maybe I’m a little lazy, but at least I’m back now. Well most of me is, part of the column is being ditched. No, not the show review part I’m afraid, the Newsreel. There’s just no room for it in this crazy mad world we called the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. And also because it’s not as if it adds that much, you can check out the news anywhere you want. Enough explaining, time for some RAW stuff…

by Chris Dewing on 3 April 2006
No April Fool’s jokes here, and due to how late I am, no Newsreel or Mailbag either. That’s right, I’m phoning it in this week, mainly because I’ve written quite a lot this week and I’m having a bit of a burnout. Plus I have the Hall of Fame and Impact to watch, and badminton to play. Yeah, you can call me whatever you want, the column’s here isn’t it?

GB&U: WWE WrestleMania 22 Predictions
by Chris Dewing on 31 March 2006
Rumours have been surrounding the wrestling world that something BIG TIME is going to happen this weekend. I am here to tell you that is not true. It will not just be BIG TIME, because it’s on it’s way, it’s making it, it’s gonna make it show, it’s so much larger than life, and we’re going to watch it growing. It’s big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big. It’s WrestleMania 22, and here are my predictions...

GB&U: Raw - 27th March 2006
by Chris Dewing on 30 March 2006
It’s been one week since you came to this column, to read a review about last week’s RAW. Five days since SmackDown! aired, featuring my favourite match of the week between Rey and Finlay. Three days it took me to give up, looking for a copy of SmackDown! to watch, hence why there was no GB&U for it, so sit back and welcome to a RAW review again…

THWD: The Legacy Of Bret Hart By Tink Holloway on 13 July 2008
In my opinion Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, his technique in the ring was unparalleled and he was arguably the most committed, hard-working individual in the history of the sport. At Wrestlemania 10 he put on, what is to this day, my favourite [...]
THWD: Do You Remember The First Time? By Tink Holloway on 7 July 2008
Much has been written about CM Punk winning the world title on Raw this week. I personally like to view it with optimism, WWE television has been so stale lately that anything that breaks up the monotonous daily grind in the promotion has got to be a plus. Still I do understand [...]
THWD: WWE Raw Find?s It?s Feet By Tink Holloway on 28 June 2008
| WWE Draft RAW - June 23rd 2008
I have to admit to being mildly interested in this year?s Raw draft. WWE is in major need of a change and this was their chance to make those changes. I was convinced however that the creative geniuses behind the WWE would drop the ball again [...] |
THWD: One Year On - The Benoit Problem By Tink Holloway on 22 June 2008
Almost one year ago, news began filtering through that Chris Benoit, one of professional wrestling?s finest ever competitors had died at the age of 40. At first all of us, fans and the industry alike, mourned and wondered what exactly it was about professional wrestling that led to so many of [...]
THWD: The case for a WWE off-season By Tink Holloway on 3 May 2008
My goodness, how long ago does Wrestlemania seem already!? Despite the WWE’s attempts to link everything they could at Backlash with WM24, the night felt far detached from the bright lights of the Citrus Bowl. It’s a shame that there is so little time to take in what happened at the biggest event of the [...]
