–Due to a poor advance (less than 10,000 tickets sold so far), New Japan has gotten desperate once again for the 1/4 Dome show. They made a deal with K-1 to get Akebono to make his New Japan debut, teaming with Yutaka Yoshie as a pair of blimps against Black Strong Machine & Hiro Saito
–WWE has withdrawn its attempt to keep Brock Lesnar from appearing on that show, pulling out of Tuesday’s scheduled hearing to determine whether the WWE would be able to get a temporary restraining order to prevent Lesnar from wrestling. It appeared to be an attempt with no chance of success going in.
