IWF: Details For April 15th Show

Thanks to IWF for sending this in:

The IWF return to action in their NEW home venue in HEDWORTHFIELD COMMUNITY CENTRE, Fellgate, Jarrow (Next to Fellgate Metro).

Show date – 15th April 2006
Belltime – 7pm (Doors open 6:30)
Tickets cost £4 or £12 for a family of 4.

The following two matches have been announced so far.

On a recent show for another promoter, LIAM ‘THE PLAYER’ ATKINSON attacked then Ring of Faith ‘Unbreakable’ Bobby Jackson after his match and claimed his title. Due to this being Jackson’s final match before joining the navy, he is unable to return to attempt to regain his crown.  This situation has not sat easily with the IWF championship committee who have reacted by scheduling Atkinson’s first defence to be against the most difficult opponent possible.

As a result, he will go up against JOE LEGEND!  Atkinson has never faced a wrestler with the credentials of Legend and will have to perform at his very best to stand any chance of holding onto his belt.

Following the last IWF show in Gateshead, It became clear that the issue between JORDAN WRIGHT and his brother JOEY were far from over.  At that show, Joey revealed that he had left their tag team ‘The Wright Stuff’ to form ‘Wright Stuff 2000’ with, of all people, ‘Old School’ Billy Morrison. Jordan went on to defeat his younger brother in a well received match, after which Joey went on to tell anyone who would listen that he would defeat Jordan easily should they step into the ring again.  It looks like Joey will get his chance as he goes one-on-one with his brother on April 15th.
