The Battle Royale, June 25th 2006 From The Orpington Halls, Orpington, Kent (nr. London)
» On June 25th, war will be declared. 30 men, all fighting for the same aim. The winner receives one of the most valuable prizes they could possibly receive – an open invitation to any match of their choice, on any show this year. That’s right, the winner can choose to face the IPW:UK Champion in November, or face the IPW:UK Tag Champions in September, or even choose to face their greatest rival in July. Whatever match, whatever stipulation, whatever date, their wish is IPW:UK’s command. This is the Battle Royale.

IPW:UK Champion, Martin Stone
Current IPW:UK champ Stone just this past weekend defeated Aviv Maayan in Portsmouth to make it now 7 successful title defences, including such names as the aforementioned former champ Maayan, ‘The Phoenix’ Jody Fleisch, Andy Boy Simmonz and many more.
IPW:UK Tag Champion, ‘Sadistic’ Jack Storm
Jack Storm is the most sadistic wrestler in England right now. Fact. And anybody who wants to challenge that moniker can come to the Orpington Halls on June 25th and try and do so. Just ask Spud all about him.
IPW:UK Tag Champion, ‘The Human Hate Machine’ Dave Moralez
Dave Moralez is considered by many to be the most improved, biggest potential star in the making, that the UK has to offer right now. While those like Pac, Fleisch, Storm, Stone, Battalion make the headlines, Dave Moralez puts on consistent high-level performances, matching wits and strength highly against all possible opponents. He took Jonny Storm to the limit in September before Storm became a teammate, will he take it one step further come June 25th?
Fellow “Untouchables” Member, ‘The Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm
Not much really needs to be said about Jonny Storm. Coming fresh off of an enforced vacation, Storm is currently sitting out a two-month IPW:UK suspension. Coming back fresh, and already with 3 allies and no real enemies in the bout, will the ‘Wonderkid’ have the mental and physical stamina to be the last man standing?
Returning To IPW:UK, El Ligero
El Ligero has yet to be seen in IPW:UK in 2006, but June 25th brings an end to his missing run that stretches back to mid July-2005. In the meanwhile Ligero has had a series of big matches around the country, and has a good-to-great win record. Now a tag champ back up North, will Ligero’s match of choice should he become victor, be a shot at fellow rumble “battle cats” Storm & Moralez?

Other News:
— June 25th sees for the first time ever, Women’s wrestling come to the main cards in IPW:UK. The match and its competitors will be announced in full in weeks to come.
— It appears that the poll has closed, and Kevin Steen’s opponent for May 28th has been decided. Look for the results to be announced real soon.
