JED MASTERS v WINNER OF A RANDOM DRAW
IWF Champion ‘Bad Boy’ Jed Masters takes the brave step of putting his IWF Championship on the line against the winner of a random draw involving all IWF wrestlers. This is a brave decision by a proud champion, as he will have absolutely no time to prepare for his opponent and know way of knowing whom that opponent will be. Certainly Masters will be confident; since winning the title from Youngsta in February, he has gone on to defend against BG James, Chris Whitton, Flower Child and Dom Travis. He will know that, should he be successful, he will take another giant step in his bid to be regarded, one day, as the greatest IWF Champion of all time.
IWF RING OF FAITH CHAMPIONSHIP
JORDAN WRIGHT v LEE KYLE
Jordan Wright celebrates six months as IWF Ring of Faith Champion by making the one defence he hoped never to make, against his former best friend Lee Kyle. The two teamed and supported each other for a number of years, until, Lee turned on Jordan on 5th May after being rewarded a title shot. Sources close to Jordan have revealed that he has yet to come to terms with the betrayal, something he will have to do if he is to remain Champion. With defences against the likes of Damon Leigh, Anthony McIntyre and Kid Richie, Wright already has a reign to be proud of; his state of mind must improve if the reign is to lengthen.
IWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
TEAM WITH NO NAME v NEW AGE ASBOS
This will be the second time these two teams have met, with the Team With No Name (Flower Child & ‘Twisted Messiah’ Adam Christ) keeping their titles by fooling the referee into disqualifying the New Age ASBOS (‘Charva MC’ Pauly C & ‘Rank Outsider’ Robbie Ryder) despite Flower Child striking Pauly C with a guitar. The ASBOs go into this match in great form and must be confident. Pauly C pinned Ricky ‘Van’ Jan to earn this title shot, and, in what ranks as by far the biggest win of his career, Ryder pinned ‘The Man That Gravity Forgot’ Pac. However, they know that, should they be unsuccessful, they will have a difficult road back to contendership for the IWF Tag Team Championship.
WRIGHT STUFF 2000 COLLIDE!
‘BIG MO’ BILLY MORRISON v ‘J-BIRD’ JOEY WRIGHT Special Referee – LEXX
Flatmates and best friends, it was a sad moment when Joey blamed Billy for a defeat on 5th May. Despite often resorting to dubious tactics, few could ever doubt Morrison’s loyalty to furthering Wright’s career; on many occasions, he has sacrificed huge opportunities in order to ensure victory for his best friend. Therefore, Billy can expect to have the crowd on his side, just as he did recently in West Denton when he shocked every body by rolling up the ‘J-Bird’ for a shock victory. The deciding factor in this match could be Lexx, Billy’s ‘WAG’ and manager of Wright. Although her heart will be with ‘The Big Mo’, her contract is not with the IWF, but with Joey Wright, so her job is at risk. The deciding factor in this match could be her decision.
TIM PERVITO v ‘JUNIOR DRAGON’ LEWIS BEARDSLEY
Beardsley, the IWF Junior Academy Champion, continues in his quest to prove himself against more experienced wrestlers. He has recently faced Adam Christ, Lee Kyle and Martin Kirby, and, although he lost, he will have learned a lot on each occasion, and surely a breakout victory is not too far away. He faces a huge task if that victory is to come on Friday, with his opponent being the ultra experienced Tim Pervito. Tim is most known as one half of Los Pervitos and has started to make a name for himself as a singles star in the IWF. At well over 6 foot tall and more than 240lbs as well as being a master in psychological warfare, Pervito will be a hot favourite in this one.
Also scheduled to appear are:
Big Gary’s Vandals (BAD BAD LEROY BROWN & RICKY ‘VAN’ JAN)
