It appears WWE released OVW trainer Robert Gibson due to the whole CM Punk/Tony Atlas situation that we reported on last week. After the incident, there was heat on Atlas from the wrestlers for acting the way he did, heat on Punk for having a confrontation with a WWE Hall of Famer and heat on the OVW trainers for allowing the whole thing to happen. Officials were extremely upset at Danny Davis until he explained he was in another room editing TV at the time. Then the heat got passed onto Al Snow and Gibson with Gibson ultimately getting fired.
