On this week’s edition of WWE SmackDown!, two matches were confirmed for the Royal Rumble on January 27- Even though WWE.com doesn’t have it on the subsite, it was announced on SmackDown! that JBL will go one-on-one with Chris Jericho at the Rumble. Also, Rey Mysterio earned a World Heavyweight Title Shot against Edge at the Royal Rumble in Madison Square Garden. Also, on the New Year’s Eve Edition of RAW, Umaga defeated "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan in the first Royal Rumble Qualifying Match to earn a spot in the 2008 Royal Rumble. Also, WrestleZone.com is reporting that Snitksy defeated Drew McIntyre in a Rumble Qualifier at a House Show on Friday to earn a spot in the Rumble Match.
