The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE is going to leave Festus off of television for awhile and repackage him (for a second time) as a singles star. They are going to use an injury anngle to explain Festus’ lengthy absence, which started following Festus’ match with The Undertaker a couple of weeks ago when Festus was put in The Undertaker’s Gogoplata for an extended period of time. So don’t expect to see Festus anytime soon, but when you do, he will likely be a new character.
