Vince McMahon was apparently in a bad mood at last week’s television tapings after SummerSlam. He was quite critical of both Raw and the next day’s Smackdown tapings. The shows didn’t go as he would have liked as they were said to have been overwritten. Creative didn’t have the scripts in place for SmackDown until 7:00 p.m. on the night of the show. Additionally, some people were reminding McMahon about his looming 63rd birthday, which took place on August 24. McMahon’s still into youth and doesn’t want to face the reality of aging.
