In his latest blog, Smackdown! play-by-play announcer Jim Ross has revealed
tentative plans for TV tapings once ‘Superstars’ starts airing on WGN after
WrestleMania. As it is right now, ECW is taping on Mondays with RAW while
Smackdown! does double headers and tapes only once every two weeks. After
Mania, ECW is expected to move back for Tuesdays tapings with Smackdown! and
the new show will be taped prior to RAW. After this move the company will
not be able to tape two episodes of Smackdown! in one night and will go back
to the original tapings schedule that has been implemented since ECW kicked
off again in 2006.
