WWE: Jim Ross Discusses Rumors Regarding His WWE Contract

In his latest blog update, Smackdown commentator Jim Ross said that while
his contract expires in December he expects to sign a multi year deal with
WWE "when schedules permit for us to sit down and to hammer out a deal that
is a win/win." Ross added that if they don’t come up with a good deal for
both sides he will be taking the holidays off and then reassess other career
moves. "The only thing that I can say is that "retirement" is NOT an option
as there is still plenty of fuel left in my tank and that I can assure one
and all," Ross wrote. He also addressed all the rumors about missing
Smackdown this week saying he requested a day off to be with his family and
it was granted and there’s no way he will show up at TNA this weekend as
some news sites reported. Ross said that his weekend will consist of
attending the OU-Texas game and a U2 concert with his wife. "Furthermore, I
wouldn’t miss the OU-Texas game for any thing I can think of including being
a part of Todd Grisham’s wedding this Saturday in Pennsylvania."
