Linda McMahon isn’t the only one venturing into politics but while her run
for the U.S. Senate has just started, Jerry "The King" Lawler’s run for
Memphis mayor has just ended, and not in a way he desired. Lawler,
contesting his second election for the mayor role, came in fifth place with
a total of 4,044 votes when all precincts finished reporting. Lawler ran for
mayor in 1999 when WWE was having its best business in years and ended in
third place with 11.7% of the total votes compared to the just 4% he got
this time around.
