On this week’s edition of ECW on Syfy, ECW General Manager Tiffany announced a concept called the "ECW Homecoming", which will determine who will be the #1 Contender for the ECW Championship at the Royal Rumble. The rules are: sixteen former and current ECW Superstars will compete in a series of one-on-one matches, with the eight winners advancing to "The Homecoming Finale" Battle Royal on January 12. Whoever wins this battle royal will be named the #1 Contender for the ECW Title at the Royal Rumble on January 31.
On this week’s show, Kane & Ezekiel Jackson advanced in the series and next week’s show will feature Jack Swagger facing Yoshi Tatsu for the third spot in the battle royal.
