Build To Survivor Series

Thirteen nights before WWE Survivor Series, the 911th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you from the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. Thirteen nights before he challenges Randy Orton for the WWE Title in a match where John Cena is the Special Referee and will either be freed from The Nexus or fired from the WWE depending on who walks out as WWE Champion, RAW would roll into the hometown of Nexus leader Wade Barrett just three nights after David Otunga went behind Barrett’s back and led The Nexus in an, ultimately, failed attempt to invade SmackDown!

Monday Night RAW (November 8, 2010)
Good Week For: Wade Barrett (with some help from David Otunga, The Miz, & Alex Riley, pinned Randy Orton in the main event)
Bad Week For: Randy Orton (with referee John Cena distracted, was betrayed by his teammate, The Miz, and got pinned by Wade Barrett)

Detailed Results Follow…

Thirteen nights before he is put in the position of being the Special Referee for the WWE Title match at Survivor Series where he will either be freed or fired depending on whether Wade Barrett wins the WWE Title, the show kicks off with John Cena as the reluctant Nexus member reads a prepared introduction that introduces “the man who has promised the winds of change and has delivered” and the future WWE Champion in Manchester’s own Wade Barrett! The Nexus leader then comes out with the rest of The Nexus; David Otunga, Husky Harris, Michael McGillicutty, and WWE Tag Team Champions Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel as Wade Barrett proclaims that the “prodigal son has returned” before stating that there is no better way to celebrate his “upcoming championship reign” that having a “preview” of the championship celebration before proclaiming that that is going to be a “party” and the fans are invited! Barrett then states that before they “get ahead” of themselves, there is some “business” that needs to be taken care of before saying that there are a “couple of issues” from last week that he needs to “look into” before showing footage of the failed SmackDown invasion perpetrated by David Otunga! Wade Barrett then orders David Otungs to step forward before telling that, before Otunga takes The Nexus to SmackDown without his “permission”, then make sure that they are “successful” before telling Otunga that he will “deal” with him later! Barrett then confronts John Cena and states that, last week, Cena has the opportunity to show everyone what would happen in Barrett’s Survivor Series match before showing the footage from last week where Cena, who was the Special Referee in a tag team match between Wade Barrett & David Otunga and WWE Champion Randy Orton & R-Truth, kept Barrett from entering the ring after getting a tag that Cena did not see; ultimately leading to Barrett & Otunga losing the match! Barrett then says “explain yourself” to John Cena and Cena takes the opportunity to have some fun with The Nexus leader by beginning to give Barrett the story of his WWE career, in essence explaining himself, before Barrett tells Cena to “stop” before asking “what happened” in last week’s match and Cena tells Barrett that he and Otunga “lost”! Barrett remains unphased and tells Cena that nothing is going to “ruin” his homecoming celebration before reminding Cena of Cena’s fate at Survivor Series and Cena responds by saying that, regardless of the outcome at Survivor Series, he will give Barrett and anyone else who interferes the “beating of a lifetime”! Barrett calls Cena’s threats “cute” and states that he holds Cena’s “destiny” in his hands and Cena will do as he is told at Survivor Series before saying that they need to have themselves a “practice” of what is going to happen after the WWE Title match at Survivor Series before ordering Cena to publically announce that Wade Barrett is the new WWE Champion! Cena was set to do so, but WWE Champion Randy Orton interrupts the “practice” and states that, the last time he checked, he is still the WWE Champion and he can beat Wade Barrett regardless of who the referee is! Orton then states that he does not “care” what happens to John Cena at Survivor Series because all he cares about is making sure that Wade Barrett “never” has the WWE Title! Wade Barrett responds by saying that, the last time he checked, he has an “army” of men standing behind him at his “beck and call” and he does not see anyone standing behind Randy Orton! The anonymous General Manager of RAW then chimes in with an email that Michael Cole reads to announce that Wade Barrett’s championship celebration preview has been “cancelled” before making the big announcement that, to make sure that there is a “decisive victor”, the WWE Title match can only end by pinfall or submission as there will be no disqualifications and no count-outs for the match before ordering that the rest of The Nexus will be banned from ringside for the match! The anonymous GM then announces a huge 10-Man Tag main event where Team Barrett, comprised of The Nexus, will face Team Orton, the members of which he will decide later on, and the Special Referee for that match will be none other than John Cena! Frustrated with being put in another impossible situation by being named the Special Referee for a match, not to mention a chaotic 10-Man Tag match, Cena shoves The Nexus podium set up in the ring over and also shoves Nexus member David Otunga over as well! Who will join WWE Champion Randy Orton on his team in the blockbuster 10-Man Tag main event? How can John Cena control such a large and combustible match?

It was revealed during RAW that next week’s show will turn back the clock with a vintage edition of RAW as many WWE Legends, including Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, The Iron Sheik, “Mean” Gene Okerlund, and many others, will be on hand for a three-hour “Old School” edition of RAW, with a special start time of 8/7c! What surprises will take place when WWE goes “Old School” next week?

In honor of the WWE being in the UK, RAW would see a 3-on-3 Divas Cup Match take place as Eve Torres & The Bella Twins, representing the Manchester United soccer team, would face Maryse, Alicia Fox, & Tamina, representing the Liverpool team! In the end, it was The Bella Twins pulling their signature switch that would allow one of the Bellas to catch Alicia Fox with a roll-up to win the match!

Backstage, Nexus leader Wade Barrett confronts David Otunga and, in front of the rest of The Nexus, informs Otunga that Otunga will not be representing The Nexus in the 10-Man Tag Match as he will be in that spot before informing Otunga that Otunga will go one-on-one with John Cena! How will David Otunga fare against John Cena?

As their partnership continues to crumble, The Hart Dynasty was in action on RAW as Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith would face Jey & Jimmy Uso in tag team action! At the end of a dysfunctional match, it was Jey Uso hitting the Superfly Splash on David Hart Smith en route to picking up the win!

It was revealed on RAW that, when Natalya gets her shot at the Divas Title at Survivor Series, she will face both of the self-proclaimed “co-Divas Champions” Layla & Michelle McCool in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match! Can Natalya overcome the odds of LayCool to become the new Divas Champion?

The first member of WWE Champion Randy Orton’s team in the 10-Man Tag main event was revealed as “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” The Miz will be one of Orton’s partners in the match! Who else will join Randy Orton on the team?

Six nights after being slapped across the face by his new bride, Aksana, after their wedding on NXT, “The Bizarre One” Goldust would go one-on-one with “The Fortunate Son” Ted DiBiase! During the match, Maryse would retrieve the Million Dollar Title for Ted DiBiase, but Goldust’s new bride, Aksana, would come out and take the Million Dollar Title from Maryse after slapping the Diva and would run off with the Million Dollar Title! Goldust would be the one to take advantage of the confusion and would roll Ted DiBiase up for the win! What does Aksana want with the Million Dollar Title? Is Aksana holding on to the belt for her husband despite slapping Goldust following their wedding?

Per the orders of Nexus leader, Wade Barrett, Nexus member David Otunga would go one-on-one, without any assistance from The Nexus, with John Cena! In the end, it was John Cena picking up a dominant win over David Otunga by forcing his fellow Nexus member to tap out to Cena’s STF!

Backstage, Nexus leader Wade Barrett confronts David Otunga moments after Otunga lost decisively to John Cena and Barrett reminds Otunga that he lost his last three matches before informing Otunga that he will go back to SmackDown this Friday night to go one-on-one with the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title, Edge, but if Otunga loses, then he will be out of The Nexus! Can David Otunga get an upset win over nine-time World Champion Edge or will David Otunga be kicked out of The Nexus?

In honor of RAW being in Manchester, Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov make an appearance on RAW for some “Tea Time” as Santino would be looking to “bury the hatchet” with Sheamus when they sit down in an old-fashioned “tea party” before Santino introduces his guest, “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus, who makes his way to the ring! Sheamus enters the ring and shakes hands with Santino before all three Superstars have a seat as Santino introduces all his types of “tea”, including Mr. T! Sheamus tells Santino that Santino is not a “bad fella”, he is just “misunderstood” before Sheamus recalls a man back in Ireland who reminds of him of Santino who was friends with a donkey and everyone called him the “village idiot”! After thinking that the Irish people were referring to the donkey as the “village idiot” before saying that Sheamus has “no pigmentation” in his skin and saying that Sheamus was “excluded” from having friends growing up because Sheamus is a “ginger” before saying that he is not going to “exclude” Sheamus and treat him like he is a “ghost”! Santino then backtracks in an attempt to keep Sheamus from getting angry, but inadvertently continues to insult “The Celtic Warrior” by saying that ghosts are not as “white” as Sheamus! Santino’s tag team partner, Vladimir Kozlov, would then chime in and say that Sheamus is mad because Santino beat Sheamus a couple of weeks ago in the “biggest upset in WWE history” before Kozlov would sit back in his chair with a big grin on his face! Seeing the rising anger on the face of Sheamus, Santino becomes very shaky out of nervousness and ends up spilling hot tea into the lap of Sheamus, causing Sheamus to trash the “tea party” before the anonymous General Manager of RAW chimes in with an email that announces to clear the ring and get Vladimir Kozlov to the back because Sheamus would go one-on-one with Santino Marella!

In an impromptu match made by the anonymous RAW General Manager following a failed attempt at friendship by Santino Marella, Santino would go one-on-one with “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus! During the match, Santino Marella would do everything to avoid physical contact with Sheamus, but when Santino fled to the crowd, the anonymous General Manager would chime in with an email giving Santino the ultimatum to get back in the ring or be suspended! Santino would then re-enter the ring and would deliver a blatant low blow to Sheamus, resulting in Sheamus getting the win via disqualification! After surviving a match against Sheamus, Santino Marella would celebrate leaving in one piece, but Santino would celebrate a bit too long as Sheamus would recover and deliver the Brogue Kick to Santino! Sheamus would then get set to deliver the High Cross to Santino, but John Morrison would rush in and attack Sheamus, delivering a springboard kick to Sheamus, sending “The Celtic Warrior” to the outside, allowing Morrison to assist Santino in escaping! How will Sheamus respond to John Morrison’s repeated interference?

Then it was time for a combustible and huge 10-Man Tag main event as WWE Champion Randy Orton would team with nine partners selected by the anonymous RAW General Manager as the WWE Champion would team with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” The Miz, United States Champion Daniel Bryan, R-Truth, & “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry as Team Orton would face Team Barrett as Nexus leader Wade Barrett would team with his Nexus teammates, Husky Harris, Michael McGillicutty, and WWE Tag Team Champions Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel with fellow Nexus member John Cena serving as the Special Referee for the blockbuster match! During the match, all ten Superstars would brawl in the ring with The Nexus getting sent to the outside, but The Nexus would witness David Otunga walking to ringside! In the end, it was David Otunga distracting referee John Cena long enough for The Miz’s “apprentice”, Alex Riley, to hit Randy Orton in the mid-section with the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase as Miz delivered the Skull Crushing Finale to Orton to betray his team and allow Wade Barrett to pin Randy Orton for the win! John Cena has shown that he can be duped in multi-man matches, but at Survivor Series, he will be the Special Referee in a one-on-one match between Randy Orton and Wade Barrett for the WWE Title where the match can only end in pinfall or submission and The Nexus is banned from ringside! As John Cena’s mettle continues to be tested, will John Cena assist Wade Barrett in winning the WWE Title at Survivor Series and keep his job while being freed from The Nexus or will John Cena accept being fired from the WWE over screwing Randy Orton out of the WWE Title?

One week after the second NXT elimination of Season Three saw Maxine eliminated from the competition, the eleventh week of NXT Season Three came to you from the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. With the Season Three Finale of NXT just three weeks away, the final four remaining NXT Rookie Divas would be looking to impress the WWE fans and WWE Pros as A.J., Naomi, Aksana, & Kaitlyn would all be looking to achieve their dream of becoming the WWE’s next breakout Diva! Also, after slapping her new husband, Goldust, across the face immediately following their wedding last week and running off with the Million Dollar Title that Goldust had been holding on RAW, the fallout of this dysfunctional new couple would be felt on NXT!

WWE NXT (November 9, 2010)
Good Week For: Naomi (defeated Aksana in the main event)
Bad Week For: Aksana (paid for her actions against Goldust by receiving no help from her WWE Pro and ultimately losing to Naomi)

The show was set to kick off with NXT Host Matt Striker’s introduction of the NXT Rookie Divas, but, after being slapped across the face by his new bride last week and having the Million Dollar Title taken away from him on RAW, “The Bizarre One” Goldust interrupts Striker to confront the issues surrounding his new wife and NXT Rookie Diva, Aksana, as Goldust states that he has repeatedly tried to call Aksana, but the Rookie Diva would not answer his calls! Goldust then demands an explanation from Aksana and calls his new wife and Rookie Diva to the ring and Aksana, with the Million Dollar Title in her possession, would come out! Aksana asks her new husband if he is heart broken before saying that she got her green card and can stay in the United States and told her new husband that, when they get divorced, then he can have “half” of the Million Dollar Title! Goldust responds by calling Aksana a “conniving Lithuanian witch” before saying that Aksana has her green card to stay in the United States, but they are in the UK so they should kick her out! This prompts Rookie Diva Naomi to come out and say that she does not think they should kick Aksana out of the UK before saying that she can see right through Aksana to her desire to be the “center” of the show before calling Aksana a “gold digger”! Naomi would then challenge Aksana to a one-on-one match and Aksana asks her husband, Goldust, for his advice and Goldust advises his Rookie Diva to face Naomi and get defeated! What will happen in the main event when Aksana goes one-on-one with Naomi?

Then it was time for the first NXT challenge of the night, but before the first challenge, NXT Host Matt Striker informs the four NXT Rookie Divas that, with the Season Finale of NXT coming up in just a few weeks, next week’s NXT will see another Rookie Diva eliminated! Striker then introduces the Arm Wrestling Challenge where the Rookie Divas would face each other in two rounds with the winner of the first round would face the winner of the second round to determine the winner of the challenge! The first two Rookie Divas to compete in the contest would be A.J. and Aksana with Aksana winning the first round! The second round would see Kaitlyn and Naomi face off in the contest with Kaitlyn defeating Naomi to advance to the final round to face Aksana and when Aksana had a hard time defeating Kaitlyn, Aksana would try pulling the hair of Kaitlyn to distract the Rookie Diva, which would result in a disqualification win for Kaitlyn!

With a newfound aggression boiling inside of her, WWE Pro Nikki Bella would go one-on-one with NXT Rookie Diva A.J.! During the match, Nikki Bella would try to get her twin sister, Brie, to assist her in getting the win, but Brie would refuse to aid her newly aggressive sister, leading to a confrontation between the sisters and, Primo would ultimately get involved in the argument, which would distract Nikki long enough for A.J. to roll up the WWE Pro to pick up the upset win! As Nikki Bella’s aggressive attitude continues to escalate, how will her sister, Brie Bella, respond?

Then it was time for the second NXT challenge of the night as the four Rookie Divas would compete in a High School Photo Challenge where A.J., Naomi, Aksana, & Kaitlyn would do their best to identify the high school photos of various WWE Superstars with the Rookie Diva with the most correct guesses being named the winner! After being shown the high school pictures of John Cena, Jack Swagger, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Chavo Guerrero, Mark Henry, & John Morrison, A.J. would be named the winner of the challenge with the most correct guesses! With the next NXT elimination coming up next week, who will be the next Rookie Diva eliminated?

After being caught making out with Dolph Ziggler last week and after losing to Vickie Guerrero by controversial means on SmackDown, Kaitlyn would be in a confrontation with her WWE Pro, Vickie Guerrero, as the two traded insults before the argument turned into a brawl as the Pro and Rookie Diva fought in the back until WWE referees broke up the fight! What will happen next in this heated rivalry between Vickie Guerrero and Kaitlyn?

Then it was time for the main event as Rookie Diva and new wife of Goldust, Aksana, would go one-on-one with Rookie Diva Naomi, with both her WWE Pro, Kelly Kelly, and Aksana’s WWE Pro, Goldust, cheering her on! In the end, it was Naomi hitting a leg lariat on Aksana en route to picking up the win! As Kelly Kelly celebrates with her Rookie Diva over Naomi’s win, Goldust looks at his wife and Rookie Diva, Aksana, with a look of disappointment! What is next in this couple’s rivalry between Goldust & Aksana?

The 82nd edition of WWE Superstars came to you from the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. After losing to Jack Swagger two weeks ago on SmackDown and losing to Jack Swagger again on last week’s Superstars, “The World Warrior” Kaval would be looking to get out of his losing streak when he goes one-on-one with former Intercontinental Champion, “The Chosen One” Drew McIntyre!

WWE Superstars (November 11, 2010)

Nine nights before Survivor Series, the 586th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown came to you from the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. On a blockbuster edition of SmackDown, the World Heavyweight Champion would be in action as, nine nights before he defends the World Heavyweight Title against Edge at Survivor Series, Kane would go one-on-one with his former tag team partner as Kane would face “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show in a battle of SmackDown giants! After leading a failed invasion of SmackDown last week behind the back of Nexus leader Wade Barrett, as well as being on a losing streak as of late, Barrett has ordered Nexus member David Otunga to return to SmackDown to go one-on-one with the man who pinned him last week, the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title, Edge, and if David Otunga loses, then Otunga will be exiled from The Nexus! One week after defeating Drew McIntyre & “Dashing” Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat Match to become the new #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Title, “The Ballin’ Superstar” MVP would get his shot at the gold as he would challenge Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Title!

Friday Night SmackDown (November 12, 2010)
Good Week For: David Otunga (with a big assist from Kane, was able to defeat Edge to remain in The Nexus)
Bad Week For: Kane (had his father and manager, Paul Bearer, abducted by Edge and lost to Big Show in the main event)

Detailed Results Follow…

Nine nights before he challenges Kane for the World Heavyweight Title at Survivor Series and before he goes one-on-one with Nexus member David Otunga with Otunga’s spot in The Nexus on the line, the show kicks off with the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title, Edge! Edge states that his “agenda” is “packed” for the next couple of months and states that he hopes that the fans will buy their tickets to WrestleMania because he will enter WrestleMania as the World Heavyweight Champion! Edge then proclaims that he has a “plan” to defeat Kane at Survivor Series and win the World Heavyweight Title before addressing David Otunga and telling Otunga that, while Otunga’s famous wife, Jennifer Hudson, is walking the “red carpet”, Otunga will be walking the “unemployment line”! This prompts David Otunga & the rest of The Nexus; Husky Harris, Michael McGillicutty, and WWE Tag Team Champions Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel as The Nexus surrounds the ring, but before The Nexus can do any damage, SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero comes out and reveals that SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long has been “detained” from entering the country so she is in “charge”! Vickie then informs David Otunga that, if any Nexus member enters the ring, then Otunga will automatically lose his match against Edge, meaning his departure from The Nexus! Vickie then announces that The Nexus will be allowed to surround ringside for the match between Edge and David Otunga, but the SmackDown locker room will also surround ringside for a Lumberjack Match! Vickie then orders Edge and David Otunga to shake hands; threatening that, if Edge does not shake Otunga’s hand, then she will take Edge out his Survivor Series match for the World Heavyweight Title! Edge would then reluctantly shake hands with the Nexus member, but, as he starts to leave the ring, Edge decides to come back into the ring to deliver a Spear to David Otunga that knocks Otunga off of the apron on onto The Nexus! When Edge goes one-on-one with David Otunga in a Lumberjack Match with The Nexus and SmackDown Superstars surrounding the ring, will Edge ensure that David Otunga is exiled from The Nexus or will Otunga find a way to defeat Edge?

The self-proclaimed “Essence of Excellence” Alberto Del Rio was in action in the opening match as Del Rio would go one-on-one with former Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston! In the end, it was Alberto Del Rio assaulting the arm of Kofi Kingston, utilizing the steel ring post to soften up the arm enough to lock on the cross ambreaker, forcing Kofi to tap out to pick up the win! After the match, Rey Mysterio would rush out and attack Alberto Del Rio, ultimately hitting the 619 on Del Rio! What is next in this continuing rivalry between Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio?

Nine nights before she challenges both Layla & Michelle McCool for the Divas Title in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, Natalya would go one-on-one with one-half of the self-proclaimed “co-Divas Champions” Layla, with Layla’s teammate, Michelle McCool, not in the arena or the country! In the end, it was Natalya forcing Layla to tap out to the Sharpshooter that would earn Natalya the dominant victory! Can Natalya achieve the same success when she faces LayCool in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match for the Divas Title at Survivor Series?

Then it was time for the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title, Edge, to go one-on-one with Nexus member David Otunga in a Lumberjack Match with The Nexus and sixteen WWE Superstars surrounding the ring and, if Otunga loses, he would be excommunicated from The Nexus! In the end, it was the Superstars brawling on the outside amongst themselves that would allow Nexus member Michael McGillicutty to enter the ring, but Edge would hit the Spear on McGillicutty! However, the referee for the match would be distracted by the brawl on the outside and this distraction would allow Kane to come out of nowhere and enter the ring to deliver a chokeslam to Edge, allowing David Otunga to crawl to the cover and defeat Edge to remain a part of The Nexus! How will Edge respond to Kane’s interference?

One week after defeating Drew McIntyre & “Dashing” Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat Match to become the new #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Title, “The Ballin’ Superstar” MVP would challenge Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Title! In the end, it was Dolph Ziggler hitting the Zig Zag and, despite MVP briefly getting his foot on the bottom rope, Dolph would hook both legs of MVP before the referee could see MVP’s foot on the rope, allowing Dolph to pick up the win and successfully retain the Intercontinental Title! Who will be the next Superstar to step up and challenge Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Title?

Backstage, World Heavyweight Champion Kane is shown in a wrecked backstage area where he finds the legendary urn laying on the ground with no Paul Bearer in sight! Where is Paul Bearer and what has happened to Kane’s father and manager?

Then it was time for the main event as World Heavyweight Champion Kane would go one-on-one with “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show in a non-title match! During the match, Kane’s father and manager Paul Bearer would be shown bound and gagged in a wheel chair in the backstage area! Later in the match, Kane would be looking to chokeslam Big Show, but as Kane readies the match-ending move, Edge would interrupt; wheeling the bound and gagged Paul Bearer out to the stage and saying that Bearer has been “tied up” and saying that Kane has some “daddy issues” before flirting with the idea of pushing the helpless Paul Bearer off of the stage! This would distract Kane long enough for Big Show to take advantage and chokeslam Kane en route to picking up the win! After the match, Edge would tell Paul Bearer to say “goodbye” to his son and saying that “cat’s got his tongue” before Edge rolls the bound Paul Bearer to the back! How will Kane respond to the abduction of his father and manager, Paul Bearer, by Edge? What is Edge’s plan for Paul Bearer?
