STAMFORD, Conn.– 03/09/2004 — School Programs, Autograph Signings, Voter Registration, City Hall Proclamations, a Superstar-Studded News Conference, and a Hall of Fame Ceremony Are Among the Activities Leading up to WrestleMania XX

World Wrestling Entertainment invades New York City from Wednesday, March 10 through Sunday, March 14. During that time, WWE will undertake a series of events that will lead up to WrestleMania XX, which it predicts will be one of the most momentous events in Pay-Per-View history.

On Sunday, March 14, 2004, WWE will present WrestleMania XX to a sold-out Madison Square Garden filled with fans from 16 countries, 48 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Fans from more than 90 countries will have the opportunity to watch the event. WrestleMania XX can be purchased on Pay-Per-View through your local cable affiliate or satellite provider.

On Wednesday, March 10, the New York City Council will present the WWE with a City Proclamation to highlight the company’s charitable and community support of New York City for more than two decades.

On Thursday, March 11, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon will preside over a Superstar-studded news conference and fan appreciation event at Planet Hollywood in Times Square. Expect much bluster and bravado as the Superstars square off to discuss their WrestleMania events and take questions from the media.

On Saturday, March 13, the WWE will induct 11 members into its Hall of Fame, including former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura and its first-ever celebrity inductee, Pete Rose. Also to be inducted are Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, Sgt. Slaughter, Superstar Billy Graham, Tito Santana, Don Muraco, Harley Race, Junkyard Dog and Big John Studd.

On Sunday morning, March 14, at its Bacon, Bagels, and Biceps Brunch, WWE will honor its Circle of Champions, a dozen children from around the United States and Canada who have shown courage in dealing with serious illnesses. Organizations participating in the event are Make-A-Wish Foundation, Starlight Foundation, New York Foundlings, Children’s Wish Foundation and Dreams Come True Foundation.
