Martin Stone’s opponent…
Recently, many have been wondering about the disappearance of LDN Champion Martin Stone, he was noticeably missing. Martin recently returned with the simple excuse ‘that he had take the trash out’. It’s not quite clear what was meant, but he has returned and will defend the championship in his home town on Saturday 25th February. Ideally, his opponent would be the number 1 contender – Chris Wyld who won a 3 man round robin tournament in Leicester to have the right to face the Champion. However, management had issues to settle with him.
Chris Wyld was reprimanded by management for actions after the main event at the Showdown II. Wyld attacked Ashe in an unprovoked act; management didn’t take kindly to this and wanted to strip him of his number one contenders spot at Romford. However, his agent MR John Atkins managed to convince the powers to be in LDN that Wyld should still face Martin Stone at Romford. So now Martin Stone will defend the LDN championship against Chris Wyld at ‘Heart of Stone’ live in Harold Hill in Romford, Essex.
LDN’s First ever tag team rounds Match
In an unusual twist of fate, LDN have decided to go old school and bring back the rounds system as a special for the Romford event. LDN has signed Riccardo Young and Bobby Hostile (collectively known as Project Future) who are no strangers to old British style, both were trained by World of Sport stars such as Johnny Kidd and Robbie Brookside. Both men have competed in several rounds match and thus were looking forward to this contest, but then they were informed of their opponents.
Their opponents will be the Portsmouth team of ‘The Specialist’ Mark Sloan and his tag team partner Ollie Burns. Both men have caused a stir recently with wins in Morecambe, Blackpool and Orpington. This marks the debut in LDN of the Portsmouth duo, LDN’s tag team division is already hotting up with so many high quality tag teams such as Team Sexay, Project Future, The Kartel, and now Mark Sloan and Ollie Burns.
