Apparently WWE spent around 20 million dollars to upgrade their production facilities in Stamford to enter into the HD universe. Even though it seems like that was a lot of capital to spend, WWE feels it needed to be done to stay on the cutting edge of technology. Even those who don’t watch in HD have benefited as the picture in SD is considerably better now that they are using new equipment.
