WWE: Update on Jeff Hardy’s Suspension Terms

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Jeff Hardy will not be back on pay-per-view until June 1 WWE One Night Stand, due to a stipulation in the Wellness Policy that states that a wrestler that is not involved in the build-up of a pay-per-view can wrestle on the pay-per-view and since WWE Backlash & Judgment Day are WrestleMania Follow-up PPV’s, Jeff Hardy will not be allowed to compete at either of those events. As it stands, Jeff Hardy will be allowed to return anytime after May 11.

Also being reported by Wrestling Observer is that Jeff’s first suspension around SummerSlam last year could have cost him around $100,000 and that was while he was in the mid-card area as a contender or champion in the Intercontinental Title picture. Since he was not only a favorite to win the MITB Ladder Match, but considered a major contender for the WWE Title, this will no doubtedly cost him a much larger amount than $100,000. People that are close to Jeff Hardy have been reported as telling people to not worry about Jeff testing positive for a third time, which would be cause for his release from the WWE. By those close to them, this is being treated as a "bump in the road" and is not as serious as it may sound.
