During yesterday’s SmackDown television show, an angle was filmed involving the WWE champion Jeff Hardy and his girlfriend Beth being involved in a hit and run car accident. WWE.COM has the dashboard footage from the "North Carolina police car" which was first to respond after the accident. The footage shows a car badly smashed on the side of the road with Jeff holding his arm and his girlfriend Beth next to him. The police officer asks them a few questions and the footage stops there. The angle was done to start the introduction of Christian Cage who will be debuting soon on the Smackdown! brand and thrown into a feud with the WWE champ. Christian will be revealed as the one who also attacked Hardy prior to the Survivor Series in that hotel. Cage’s contract with TNA expired last month and is free to debut whenever the writers want him to.
