The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE released Matt Cappotelli as part of cost cutting measures but it would have happened alot sooner but they feared the negative image it would have cast on them to release him while he was having treatment for a brain tumor.
Matt has been getting paid $75,000-a-year downside pay for the last 3 years while he hasn’t been able to wrestle but now his condition has been deemed stable by doctors WWE felt they could get him off their books and save the $75,000 without being labaled insensative for releasing him while he was ill.
