The historic 900th episode of WWE Monday Night RAW kicks with a WWE Hall of Famer who has been responsible for countless moments in RAW’s history as the show kicks off with Bret “The Hitman” Hart! Bret admits that, over seventeen years ago, when RAW began, he even questioned whether it would last, but thanks to the WWE fans, RAW has made it! Bret continues that he was on the very first edition of Monday Night RAW and there is only one other individual who was on that first episode of RAW that is still in the WWE and that is none other than The Undertaker! Bret Hart was then set to ask The Undertaker to come to the ring, but Undertaker’s brother, World Heavyweight Champion Kane interrupts and states that, thanks to him, there is no more “Phenom”, there is only a “man”! Kane then turns his attention to Bret Hart and states that The Undertaker has become like Bret in being “weak”, “over the hill”, and “irreversibly damaged”! Kane continues that the last time that The Undertaker was himself was when he ended the career of Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania and that Bret Hart must have “savored” that moment! Bret responds by telling Kane that the only thing he is going to “savor” is when The Undertaker gets his hands on Kane and beats him “like he always does”! Kane responds by stating the “one thing” he has always wanted to do more than anything else was emerge from the “shadow” of The Undertaker and, since The Undertaker took out an “icon” in the form of Shawn Michaels, then he needs to take out an “icon” in the form of Bret Hart! Kane then grabs the Hall of Famer by the throat and is ready to chokeslam Bret Hart, but The Hart Dynasty comes out and tries to fight off Kane, but the World Heavyweight Champion sends the WWE Tag Team Champions packing before once again grabbing the throat of Bret Hart! However, with the sound of a gong and the dimming of the lights, The Undertaker appears in the middle of the ring, face-to-face with his brother Kane, but when it looked like these two brothers would clash, Kane exited the ring, saying “not yet brother”! The anonymous General Manager of RAW then chimes in with an email that makes the blockbuster announcement that, in a fitting main event to the 900th episode of RAW, The Undertaker will make his return to the ring to go one-on-one with WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart! After being out of action since May, how will The Undertaker fair in the match? Can Bret Hart overcome “The Phenom” known as The Undertaker?

The opening match of the night would feature the three finalists in NXT Two as Kofi Kingston would team with his NXT Rookie, Michael McGillicutty, to face “The American Dragon” Daniel Bryan & “The World Warrior” Kaval and United States Champion & “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” The Miz and his NXT Rookie, Alex Riley, in a Triple Threat Tag Match! At the end of a chaotic match, it looked like Kaval would pick up the win for his team after hitting the Warrior’s Way on Michael McGillicutty, but The Miz would come in and hit the Skull Crushing Finale en route to picking up the win for himself and his Rookie, Alex Riley! After the match, Alex Riley got on the ring apron to distract Daniel Bryan long enough for The Miz to come in and blast Bryan in the face with the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase! How will Daniel Bryan respond to this attack by The Miz?

After promising to issue an “offer” that Melina can not “refuse” last week, the self-proclaimed “co-Women’s Champions” Michelle McCool & Layla would face Divas Champion Melina and former Divas Champion Eve Torres in tag team action! In the end, it was Melina catching Layla with a roll-up to pick up the win for the RAW Divas! After the match, LayCool calls Melina “forgettable” before laying down a blockbuster challenge for WWE Night of Champions as the self-proclaimed “co-Women’s Champions” Michelle McCool & Layla would face Divas Champion Melina with both the Women’s and Divas Titles on the line in a Title Unification Match! Melina responds by saying that she accepts the challenge, but on one condition, that it is a Lumberjack Match with WWE Divas surrounding the ring; a stipulation which LayCool agrees to! In just a few weeks, two champions will walk into Night of Champions and only one will walk out with both titles in their possession! Who will emerge as the Women’s & Divas Champion at Night of Champions? What will become of one of the championships?

Backstage, one of the five challengers for the WWE Title in the Six Pack Challenge at WWE Night of Champions makes the shocking announcement that if he does not win the WWE Title at Night of Champions then he will leave the WWE! Can Chris Jericho win the WWE Title in the Six Pack Challenge at Night of Champions? If Chris Jericho fails to win the gold, will he really leave the WWE?

Then it was time to determine the #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles as R-Truth & John Morrison would face “Dashing” Cody Rhodes & “The Sinister Scotsman” Drew McIntyre! However, the match would barely get underway before the match broke down as both teams battled it out, which would leave the referee no choice but to call for the bell and rule the match a no contest, meaning that no #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles were determined! How will the #1 Contenders situation be resolved?

Then it was time for a huge match as The Undertaker would square off against WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart; the two Superstars still in the WWE that were also on the very first edition of RAW! However, before the match could begin, Nexus leader Wade Barrett comes out and states that, when people think about the 900th episode of RAW, they want to think about the “future” and that The Nexus is the “future” and he is going to “delouse” Bret Hart and show everyone that The Undertaker is a “dead man”! Barrett then comes into the ring and is quickly dispatched with a few right hands and a big boot from The Undertaker, but then the familiar gong of The Undertaker sounds and the lights dim, but when the lights come on, Kane is in the ring, face-to-face with his brother, The Undertaker! Undertaker would grab the throat of his brother, but the gong would sound once again and the lights would dim again and when they came back on, Kane was gone! With The Undertaker alone in the ring, the other four members of The Nexus join their leader on the outside as The Nexus surrounds the ring, but when The Nexus entered the ring, The Undertaker fights off the five-on-one attack, but then the gong sounds again and the lights go out and when they come back on, The Undertaker is on the shoulders of Wade Barrett and, as Kane watches from the stage, Barrett delivers the Barrett Wasteland to “The Phenom”, followed up by the 450 Splash by Justin Gabriel! After weeks of their dominance being questioned, The Nexus have reestablished themselves as threats to the entire WWE roster by leaving The Undertaker laid out! What is next for The Nexus as Nexus leader Wade Barrett’s shot at the WWE Title in the Six Pack Challenge approaches?

SmackDown’s resident “All-American American” Jack Swagger was in action on RAW as Swagger would go one-on-one with the high-flying Evan Bourne! However, with the match still in progress, the ultra-confident Alberto Del Rio makes his entrance and stands at ringside as Jack Swagger catches Evan Bourne in the ankle lock, forcing Bourne to tap out to win the match! After the match, Alberto Del Rio brags about injuring Rey Mysterio before stating that he is going to “recreate” what he did to Mysterio with Evan Bourne! Del Rio would then enter the ring and lock in his cross armbreaker on Evan Bourne before getting ready to deal serious damage to the shoulder of Evan Bourne, but Mark Henry would come out and knock the chair out of Alberto Del Rio’s hands, scaring the SmackDown star off!

CM Punk and his Straightedge Society of Luke Gallows & Joseph Mercury make an appearance on RAW and CM Punk states that he is “better” than The Rock and asks the fans if they “miss” The Rock on RAW! CM Punk states that he does not “miss” The Rock and that, for 900 episodes, RAW has not exhibited any “family values” and proclaims that he has taken it “upon himself” to show four of the “most atrocious” acts committed on RAW by its Superstars! Punk then presents his “exhibit A”, which he describes as “property damage”, which was the episode in 2009 where Triple H broke into Randy Orton’s house and assaulted Orton! Punk then presents his “exhibit B”, which he calls “irresponsible and reckless behavior”, which was the episode in 2006 where John Cena hurled Edge into the Long Island sound! Punk then presents his “exhibit C”, which Punk calls “trespassing” before showing the episode in 1998 where D-Generation X attempted to invade WCW! Punk then presents his “exhibit D”, which he describes as “excessive use of alcohol via fire hose” before showing the two occasions, in 1999 and 2007, where Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin doused The Corporation and Santino Marella, respectively, with beer! CM Punk then mocks the fans for thinking that Stone Cold Steve Austin would douse him and The Straightedge Society before the legendary shattering of glass signifies the arrival of Stone Cold Steve Austin, but the music of Stone Cold turns out to be a joke by CM Punk! CM Punk then shows the SmackDown clip of Big Show getting superplexed and breaking the ring! After making fun of Big Show, “The World’s Largest Athlete” comes out and reminds CM Punk of the other embarrassing moments Big Show has been involved in before stating that he is “entertaining” before doing a Hulk Hogan impersonation! CM Punk calls the impersonation “boring” and Show responds by chopping CM Punk, which prompts Punk and Joseph Mercury to leave the ring, leaving Luke Gallows to be attacked and sent out of the ring by Big Show! How will The Straightedge Society respond to Big Show interrupting and attack the group?

Moments before the main event, WWE Champion Sheamus makes an appearance and reminds everyone that he took out Triple H and that Triple H is “never coming back” before expressing his disagreement with the anonymous GM’s decision to make his defend his WWE Title in a Six Pack Challenge at Night of Champions! Sheamus continues that, “never in the history of RAW has a champion been treated so poorly” before alleging that he has been “discriminated” against before the WWE Champion is interrupted by one of his five challengers in the Six Pack Challenge, “The Rated-R Superstar” Edge, and Edge reminds Sheamus of what he has been through since his RAW debut and all his accomplishments in that time before proclaiming that he will win the WWE Title at Night of Champions!

Just a matter of a few weeks before they are five of the six competitors in the Six Pack Challenge for the WWE Title at Night of Champions, WWE Champion Sheamus, John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, & Chris Jericho would team up to face The Nexus, headed by fellow challenger for the WWE Title, Wade Barrett, as well as David Otunga, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, & Michael Tarver in a 5-on-5 Elimination Tag Match! The first elimination did not take long as, when the match started, Chris Jericho insisted on starting the match only to leave the ring and get himself intentionally counted out! After Jericho got himself counted out, Edge entered the ring and intentionally shoved the referee to get himself disqualified, leaving The Nexus to a five-on-three advantage! WWE Champion Sheamus would be the next to be eliminated as, following a kick from Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater would hit the Clean Slater en route to eliminating the WWE Champion! Following Sheamus’ elimination, John Cena would come in and make quick work of Heath Slater by hitting the Attitude Adjustment en route to eliminating Slater, leaving The Nexus with four Superstars to face John Cena & Randy Orton! After being beat down by The Nexus throughout the match, John Cena would come out of nowhere to catch David Otunga in his STF, forcing Otunga to tap out! However, as soon as Cena eliminated Otunga, Justin Gabriel would take advantage of a vulnerable Cena by hitting the 450 Splash en route to eliminating Cena, leaving The Nexus to a three-on-one advantage over Randy Orton! However, Randy Orton would even the odds by hitting Justin Gabriel and Michael Tarver with RKOs to leave Orton one-on-one with Wade Barrett, but Barrett would catch Orton out of nowhere and hit the Wasteland en route to picking up the win for The Nexus! Can Wade Barrett become the WWE Champion at Night of Champions when he is on his own against RAW’s five best Superstars with the WWE Title on the line?
