FWA: Billy Kidman To Appear At Colchester Show & More

NEWS FLASH 12/3/06 – HOT OFF THE (SHOOTING STAR) PRESS!

The FWA is pleased to announce that former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman has signed to appear at FWA’s debut show at the Colchester Hippodrome on Sunday April 30.

The master of the Shooting Star Press has achieved so much in his stellar career in WCW and the WWE.  From his days as a member of Raven’s Flock, to his tag teams with Rey Mysterio and Paul London, and his multiple reigns as king of WWE’s cruiserweight division, Kidman has never failed to give value for money and show consistent high quality performance in the ring.

The American star is excited about coming over to the UK for the first time since his WWE release and the FWA is pleased to have him on board to help launch Colchester Hippodrome as what we hope will be a regular FWA venue.

NEWS FLASH 12/3/06 – TAG TITLE REMATCH SIGNED

Ever since they pushed FWA British Tag Team Champions Stixx and Martin Stone so close last year in their comeback match at FWA Hotwired, former two-time tag team champions The New Breed have been demanding the opportunity for a rematch – and finally, they will get their chance at Crunch.

FWA officials clearly took note at how the Broxbourne faithful welcomed back Ashe and Curve with open arms on October 16, and how the popular duo even seemed to put their past differences behind them as they rolled back the years to almost upset the long-reigning tag team champions.

So at FWA Crunch, the Breed will get a deserved second crack at Stixx and Stone and hopefully this time it will be a fair shot.  It has been announced that the champs’ devious manager ‘The Twisted Genius’ Dean Ayass, whose interference cost the Breed in their first encounter, will be barred from ringside on April 2.  In fact, FWA has said that if Ayass so much as sets foot inside the main hall of Broxbourne Civic Hall during the match, then Stixx and Stone will be disqualified and the match – and titles – awarded to the Breed.

Understandably Ayass is furious at this stipulation and has been consulting with his legal advisers but his only option appears to be to withdraw Stixx and Stone from this mandatory title defence in protest, which would cause them to be stripped of the belts anyway.

Tickets are NOW ON SALE for FWA Crunch at Broxbourne Civic Hall, Hoddesdon, Herts, on Sunday April 2.  Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 6.30pm. Tickets cost £22 for Gold Ringside, £12 for adults, £8 for children and £30 for a family ticket. The box office number is 01992 441946.
