Vince McMahon’s terrible departure from Raw the other week has put me into a tailspin. They want to see an explosion in ratings and a burning to be seen as a credible weekly soap opera. I say, then write the show with more weddings! The concussion has taken the place of the coma write-off.

“One day it’s white, the next it’s black!” is the life of a wrestler in the spotlight. Too much airtime and he becomes stale, and he is ready to be shipped to the house for a much needed vacation. Leaving the fans before they come back to a deafening chant. Hogan and Piper are masters […]
I have seen the light, my brethren, and it is stop….chop…stop…punch wrestling. The one move, stop….wait a second, move wrestling has me floored. I am in awe of what wrestling Match Of The Year (MOTY) candidates have to put forth to have integrity…
Wrestlemania 23 was a Wrestlemania that had the doctor of style slip sliding in the back with the dragon and Dusty Rhodes. It was an American nightmare with this amalgamation of wrestling greats and a terrible WWE house party in the back. His exotic scoring led to a tie between Alex Shelley and Austin Starr and eventually sudden death overtime which Shelley won for the Paparazzi tournament trophy. I write about Backlund first, because the “Chicken wing” chant for the legend was unreal…
Turning the calendar over to another year comes with expectations – the dreams of future accomplishments and the adventure of the unknown on the horizon. Unmistakable on the flipside is the fear of what fate has burning in the belly of barely lit boiler rooms…
A Christmas story…
Eugene, Uncle Bischoff’s mentally disabled nephew has been burdened with his gimmick long enough. The man has gone beyond all expectations and has delivered a “special” heel turn. Yet, this can only last so long. It is time to pull down the curtain and reveal the wizard. Eugene needs to become a wrestling genius – a man, with the help of Bishcoff, who turns out to be a charlatan…
